High-Pressure Fittings
These 360-µm high-pressure fittings allow direct connection of 360-µm-OD fused silica, polyetheretherketone (PEEK), stainless steel, or electroformed nickel tubing without the need to use liners. With fine 2-56 threads, the compact fittings provide a leakfree connection that seals at pressures well in excess of 20,000 psi. They can be easily formed with a manual tool, and are available with a PEEK or stainless steel nut; the PEEK nut is supplied with a glass-filled PEEK ferrule, while the stainless nut uses a 316 SS ferrule. The ferrule snaps into the nut so that the fitting is one piece, but the ferrule is free to rotate and does not twist the tube as the nut is tightened. Various bore sizes are available. The fittings are suitable for chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, laboratory, and OEM applications.

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) Tubing
This polyetheretherketone (PEEK) tubing is available in many varieties, including natural PEEK, solid color-coded, dual-layer color-coded, striped, and dash-stripe coded. For all the tubing models, standard sizes include outer diameters of 0.0141732 in. (360 µm), 0.03125 in., 0.0625 in., and 0.125 in., with inner diameters as small as 0.002 in. The interior surfaces of the standard sizes are color-coded according to the following scheme: 0.005-in.-i.d. is red; 0.007-in.-i.d., yellow; 0.010-in.-i.d., blue; 0.020-in.-i.d., orange; and 0.030-in.-i.d., green. These have a tolerance of ±0.0005 in. for inner diameters up to 0.010 in. and ±0.001 in. for those larger than 0.010 in. All colorants used are Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS)-compliant. On the dual-layer color-coded model, only the outer layer is pigmented, eliminating potential pigment contamination of the sample stream. This model’s pressure performance is equivalent to that of single-layer tubing.

Cheminert Model M6 and M50 liquid handling pumps
The Cheminert Model M6 and M50 liquid handling pumps are designed for precision handling of liquids and/or gases, and produce a bidirectional pulseless flow with a range over six orders of magnitude, from 10 nL/min to 10 mL/min for the M6 pump, and 50 µL/min to 50 mL/min for the M50 pump. Positive-displacement pumps offer much better performance than syringe pumps, which need refilling and syringe changes. They are self-priming and tolerant of any gas that may find its way into the fluid lines. There is no separate fill cycle, and the capacity is virtually unlimited. RS-232 and RS-485 communication protocols are incorporated into the microprocessor-driven controller. The included software package controls flowrates, flow direction and metered volumes.

MW Type Multiposition Valve
The MW Type multiposition valves offer numerous flow configurations, port and fitting sizes, and actuation options. The preload design allows the rotor to be inspected or replaced without removing the valve from the actuator. If the valve is used with the firm’s complementary VICI microelectric actuator, alignment is always automatic. The valves are available with 4 –16 positions in five configurations ranging from simple stream selection to more complicated trapping functions. Standard valve-body material is stainless steel; optional materials include Hastelloy C-22 or Nitronic 50.
