Instrumentation for Aeration Control Package
Aeration basins are an excellent way to reduce the nutrient load during water and waste-water treatment, but the energy costs of such systems can be high. The Instrumentation for Aeration Control Package provides all of the sensors and transmitters that water- and wastewater-treatment engineers need to gain better control over the efficiency and economics of the aeration basin in a single package. The instrumentation measures dissolved oxygen, suspended solids, temperature, air flowrates, air pressure, water level, ammonium, pH, nitrates, and thermal mass in the aeration basin. Measurement of these parameters can help to reduce the energy costs associated with aeration. The sensors connect to any programmable logic controller (PLC) or supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system via 4–20-mA with HART, Profibus or other digital interfaces.

Promass E200 Coriolis flowmeter
The Promass E200 Coriolis flowmeter is said to be the world’s first Coriolis flowmeter with true two-wire, 4- to 20-mA HART tech-nology. This advance allows users to upgrade their existing control scheme by replacing legacy flowmeters with this high-accuracy Coriolis meter without the need for any wiring, plumbing, or hardware changes. By comparison, switching to other Coriolis flow-meters often requires significant wiring changes, additional power supplies, or safety barriers. The Promass E200 simultaneously measures mass flow, fluid density, and temperature, and can be used with most acids, alkalis, solvents, and gases. It can be integrated with DCS, PLC, PAS, and other remotely operated controller systems. The device has built-in diagnostics and, in the event of a fault, clearly displays information about errors and root causes on its local display. Its two-wire technology enables it to be used in intrinsically safe applications for Class 1 Division 1 locations. It comes in a variety of line sizes and materials.

Deltapilot FMB 70 hydrostatic level pressure transmitter
The Deltapilot FMB 70 hydrostatic level pressure transmitter measures level in units of pressure, height, volume, or mass with an accuracy of ±0.1%. It has a 316L stainless steel housing with a polycarbonate sightglass, and a water-tight Contite pressure-measuring cell that is hermetically sealed for protection against condensate, condensation, and aggressive gases. These features enable the device to withstand harsh washdown environments such as those in food, beverage, dairy, and pharmaceutical applications. The water-tight NEMA 6P-rated (temporarily submersible) housing operates at process temperatures from 14°F to 212°F (–10°C to 100°C). Built-in temperature compensation responds quickly to temperature changes during batch processing and clean-in-place (CIP) or sterilize-in-place (SIP) cycles, making the instrument appropriate for balance-tank applications where rapid temperature changes can lead to process upsets or product losses.

Liquiline CM442 two-parameter transmitter
The Liquiline CM442 is a four-wire, two-parameter transmitter that is designed to simplify analytical sensing applications. Using one unit instead of two conventional single-parameter transmitters allows plants to reduce costs related to the purchase, installation and maintenance of the system and simplify the measurement of process variables. The framework accepts data from any two of the company’s Memosens sensors, each with true hot plug-and-play capabilities via a digital interface link — which allows sensors to be easily removed for replacement or calibration and diagnostic purposes, then replaced with immediate sensor recognition. The system measures any combination of parameters, including turbidity and suspended solids, nitrate, dissolved oxygen, pH/ORP, chlorine, concentration, and conductivity. These transmitters can be upgraded to include additional sensors and output or communication options such as Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus or Ethernet.

Deltatop differential-pressure flowmeter
The Deltatop differential-pressure (DP) flowmeter measures gas, liquid and steam in ½-in. to 24-in. pipes. This flow-monitoring solution features an averaging pitot tube, a precision-machined orifice-plate primary device with a range of flanged union options, a manifold, and a transmitter. It is designed specifically for applications in accordance with ASME B16.36. The accuracy of volumetric flow measurement is achieved through the development of a theoretical model of flow coefficients that has been proven through empirical test data and verified by independent laboratories. The device is designed to be clog-free and precise, providing extremely stable flow readings across the entire measurement range.

Liquiphant M density meter
By providing online measurements, the Liquiphant M density meter eliminates the need for extensive and expensive offline procedures and laboratory measurements. Online measurements allow control systems to react more quickly than when offline systems are used. The meter’s built-in density calculator can be customized by inputting complex tables and mathematical relationships. Its mechanically oscillating, two-tined fork is excited by a piezoelectric drive to resonant frequency, which changes whenever the fork is immersed in liquid. The sensor reports whenever the vibration falls below a predetermined frequency. In a lower-density medium, such as liquefied gas, the resonant frequency is higher than in higher-density materials, such as water. This meter is suitable for use in the food industry to determine the sugar content in fruit juices and beverages, as well as in oil production to measure the salt concentration in tanks.

Promass F Coriolis mass flowmeter
Designed for applications requiring the most accurate measurement of large quantities — up to 80,806 lb/min — the PROline Promass F Coriolis mass flowmeter offers accurate and repeatable measurement (±0.1% of range). The dual-tube sensor’s fully welded design eliminates internal gaskets and reduces the possibility of leakage. Secondary containment is standard and provides another line of defense. The 10-in. sensor weighs only 880 lb and measures 72.3 in. long or less (150 lb flange). The measuring tube is contructed of Type 316L stainless steel and has the required hazardous area approvals.
