These modular polyethylene tank stands are designed for use with a full-drain outlet (FDO) assembly. They can be installed on any suitable flat surface to elevate polyethylene tanks 12 in. above grade, accommodating a full-drain tank without the need to pour concrete. The chemical-resistant stands are suitable for virtually all corrosive environments, and in tests have been shown to resist over 300,000 lb of crush force. Features include corrugated sidewalls for maximum support, interlocking dovetail joints to secure modular sections together, and optional wind load anchoring points. The lightweight modular sections can be easily disassembled and relocated to a different site. A wide range of color choices is available.
BC450 Bulk Containers
The BC450 double-wall rectangular, low-profile, base container holds up to 450 gal and allows intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) to be quickly emptied and returned to use, providing savings on container rentals and storage space. The base container holds chemical tote bins for up to 3.5 h and has a partially sloped bottom for near-complete draining due to top suction. The unit is constructed from rugged, durable crosslinked polyethylene for U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved and National Science Foundation (NSF)-certified linear polyethylene. It features molded-in forklift access for easy placement, 2.5-in.-thick mild steel epoxy-coated grating for durability, and a complete fill assembly with a ball valve and chemical transfer hose.
400-Gal Polyethylene Piston Bins
Designed for viscous products up to 500,000 cP, these 400-gal polyethylene non-pressure piston bins are closed-loop systems that protect materials from air, moisture, dirt and other contaminants. Ideal for FDA materials, such as mayonnaise and molasses, the bins are also used for transporting products for pharmaceutical manufacturers, wineries and breweries. Rugged and durable, the bins have fork-lift pockets to make for easy transport, and are reusable and returnable. The bins use a pump-operated system that fills and discharges through a single 3-in. bottom valve. During materials discharge, the airtight piston is pulled by a vacuum, thus wiping the tank sidewalls clean and eliminating product waste.
Conical Tanks
The newest size in this company’s line of conical tanks is a 560-gal model, molded of polyethylene. The components are molded into place, as well, including fittings, flats on the tank roof, forklift access for easy tank placement, and four anchor points on the bottom, for better stability. Available in sizes from 300 to 8,000 gal, the tank features uniform wall thickness and boasts excellent corrosion resistance.
Polyethylene Tank Inspection
This guide will help users identify different material types and provides basic instructions on how to gather information if a tank has been damaged. Also included are pictures of over-exposure to ultraviolet rays and tank failure examples.
