Packer
This device gently vibrates bulk-shipping containers, such as flexible bags and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), to increase the bulk density of their contents and improve efficiency in packaging, material handling, and warehouse operations. It applies linear vibration from underneath the bulk container, which creates a fluidizing action that densifies the material by removing air from in between the particles, while protecting particle integrity, shape, and size. The packer, which accommodates loads up to 4,500 lb, is suitable for compacting food, beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, mineral, metal, plastic, and other powdered, granular, and pelletized materials. Options include a variable-speed drive to adjust vibration speed and a roller deck that permits the bulk containers to be easily rolled onto and off of the platform. In addition, the packer can be mounted directly to a scale platform to combine weighing and densifying in a single unit.

Wear Plates
These high-hardness wear plates protect inlets, curves, discharge sections, and other areas of equipment from premature wear due to high-impact contact with abrasive materials traveling at high velocities. They are suitable for processes that handle glass-filled plastic resins, ceramic particles, mineral aggregates, abrasive grains, and other powdered, granular, or viscous materials. Plates made of stainless steel, Stellite alloys, or polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon) are available to help extend the service life of the fabricated metal equipment while accommodating a wide range of abrasive materials. They are available on the firm’s entire line of vibrating fluid-bed dryers and coolers, screeners, plastic-pellet classifiers, vibratory conveyors, and other process equipment, and although they are custom-designed for each machine, they may also be designed for retrofit on existing machinery. The plates can be removed and replaced without significant process downtime.

Witte C-20 clamp
The Witte C-20 clamp eliminates confined-space entry hazards because it is permanently mounted on machinery to hold covers, housings, panels, doors, and other parts together, yet it retracts easily for fast access to the interior. Used in place of welding, riveting and other fixed fasteners, the C-20 clamp system eliminates inaccessible spaces and enables inspection, part replacement, cleaning, and other maintenance activities to be performed without requiring an employee to enter the unit. By safeguarding workers from exposure to potentially harmful situations, the C-20 clamp eliminates concern for compliance with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) 29 CFR 1910.146 standard governing permit-required confined spaces, as well as the need for respirators, suits, and associated safety gear. The clamp is proven in use on machine parts made of steel, aluminum, plastic, composite, wood, and other materials, and in different thicknesses. It is available in cast aluminum and stainless steel construction, or in 100% U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved Type 303 stainless steel to meet U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) regulations and 3-A standards for the food and dairy industries.

Witte 300 screener
A modular design allows the addition of a vibrating fluid-bed dryer, cooler and deduster to the Witte 300 screener, even years after the original equipment was installed. Combining multiple functions in a compact, quickconnect/ disconnect unit saves floor and overhead space and allows the unit to be moved among multiple production lines. Because the screener can be retrofit to handle additional functions, processing capabilities can be expanded without replacing the screener or buying a separate dryer or cooler. Designed for screening nylon, polyethylene, polystyrene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyesters, polyurethanes, and other commodity and engineering resins, it air-screens to –20 mesh fines, ensuring virtually complete removal of ribbons, streamers and angel hairs.
