The sensor can be used in tanks as high as 150 ft. Designed for direct immersion, the sensor requires only one tank entry opening. The averaging temperature curve can be either 100-ohm copper or 100- ohm DIN platinum-characterized copper; the spot temperature curve may be either 100-ohm copper or 100-ohm DIN platinum. Additionally, a water bottom probe is available without the temperature-sensing elements, The water interface data provided by the prove can be utilized to calculate net barrels or to schedule water draw-off operations.

Model 461 Sanitary Resistance-Temperature Detector (RTD)
Designed to facilitate easy replacement of temperaturesensing elements without the use of a standard thermowell, the Model 461 sanitary resistance-temperature detector (RTD) combines the fast time-response characteristics of a standard immersion sanitary sensor with all the advantages of a thermowell. The patented design incorporates a removable sensing element for easy, lowcost sensor retrieval and replacement with no breakage of the sanitary seal. Constructed of Type 316L stainless steel, the new RTD features a No. 4 finish that meets 3A standards, making it ideal for industries such as pharmaceuticals, biomedical production/research and foodstuffs.
