Thin Liquid Gear Pumps
These thin liquid internal-gear pumps handle low-viscosity liquids with high efficiency, offering many advantages in applications normally associated with centrifugal pumps. The pumps are self-priming and capable of reversible flow direction, enabling the use of one pump instead of two for loading/unloading or line stripping. The pumps’ flow is directly proportional to input speed, allowing them to meter process liquids. They are available in iron, steel or stainless steel, with adjustable end clearances and idler gears of iron, non-galling 770 alloy or PPO composite. The pumps offer capacities up to 17 m3/h (75 gal/min) and a pressure range of 0–7 bar (100 psi) at viscosities from 0.1 to 4 cSt, or up to 17 bar (250 psi) at higher viscosities. Close- or long-coupled options, with motor-speed operation, reduce overall system cost and space required.
Viking Mag Drive 855 Series Internal Gear Pumps
The Viking Mag Drive 855 series internal gear pumps offer exceptional reliability through their robust, sealless design, which eliminates seal leakage. The pump’s driver turns an outer magnet, whose force passes through a stationary O-ring-sealed canister to turn an inner magnet, which drives the pump shaft without the need for seals. The pumps feature adjustable end clearance to maximize efficiency, and ANSI- or DIN-flanged ports for sealing reliability. They may be close-coupled to NEMA C or IEC B5-flange motors, or long-coupled. Long field life and reduced downtime are also ensured by a thrustcontrolled design that allows short-term run-dry capabilities. This greatly reduces the possibility of damage from priming and accidental empty tank situations. This series of pumps offers flowrates of up to 135 gal/min with pressures up to 200 psi at temperatures ranging from –60°F to 500°F.
LVP series stainless steel vane pump
With 14-bar/200-psi thin-liquid capability and capacities to 45 m3/h (200 gal/min), the LVP series stainless steel vane pump is designed for low-viscosity, corrosive liquids at higher pressures than other positive-displacement pumps. Its stainless-steel casing (which is surface-hardened to 62 Rockwell C), chrome-oxide-coated shaft, and silicon carbide bushings contribute to longer service life. Polyaryletherketone (PEEK) vanes offer high strength, low friction for less wear, and broad chemical compatability. The LVP series is available in a metric-standard design, with DIN flanges, IEC motor mount, and metric-standard shaft-seal options, as well as with ANSI flange ports, NEMA motor mount, and inch-standard seals.
