P420 Series plastic, vortex-shedding flowrate transmitters
P420 Series plastic, vortex-shedding flowrate transmitters have no moving parts that can stick, bind, or become coated. They can handle fluids with viscosities to 4.5 cP or 50 SUS. In certain models, wetted parts are constructed entirely of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or chlorinated PVC (CPVC) for improved heat resistance. PVC and CPVC units are available in standard pipe sizes and flowrates: 0.375 in., 6 gal/min (22.7 L/min); 0.5 in., 12 gal/min (45.0 L/min.); 0.75 in., 25 gal/min (95 L/min); 1.0 in., 50 gal/min (190 L/min); 1.5 in., 100 gal/min (380 L/min); and 2.0 in., 200 gal/min (750 L/min). The P420 models with the CPVC body and sensor transmit hot water or other fluids with a maximum operating temperature of 180°F, compared with a 140°F maximum for the PVC units.
CoolPoint Totalizing Series vortex-shedding flowmeters
CoolPoint Totalizing Series vortex-shedding flowmeters measure, monitor, verify and control flows of water,
water/glycol coolant and low-viscosity fluids. They are equipped with a totalizer that has a six-digit light emitting diode (LED), pulse output, and push-button selection for gal/min or L/min. Users can toggle between two totals, one running and one resettable. The flowmeters have no moving parts that can stick or become coated, and can process fluids that contain particles. They are available in 0.75-in., 1.0-in., 1.5-in., and 2.0-in. pipe sizes for flows ranging from 25 to 200 gal/min (95 to 750 L/min). They have a maximum operating pressure of 300 psi (20 bar), a turndown ratio of 10:1, and a flow accuracy of ±1.5% of the indicated total. The meters’ bodies are made of brass or Type 316 stainless steel with polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) sensors and fluoroelastomer (Viton) seals. The stainless steel models are designed for low-viscosity corrosive fluids and water containing added chemicals.
CalPoint-Flow and Temperature Measurement in One Unit
CalPoint combines a vortex shedding flowmeter and temperature transmitter in a single instrument. Repeatability is ±1% of actual flow and ±0.25% of actual temperature; accuracy is ±2% of flow. Temperature range is 32°F to 210°F, and readings can be displayed in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. The meter is available in pipe sizes ranging from 3/4 in. to 2 in. for flowrates of 2.5–200 gal/min.
