Songflame YA 010 and YA 020 halogen-free flame retardants
Songflame YA 010 and YA 020 are halogen-free flame retardants based on phosphine oxides that are designed to be reactive with a resin’s backbone (principally epoxies) to give long-term stability. Their key advantages include being environmentally safe, non-toxic and non-corrosive. Songflame TP100 is a halogen-free flame retardant based on phenol/bi-phenol polyphosphate, and is suited to a wide range of thermoplastic resins, particularly polycarbonate, polycarbonate blends with acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), and a wide range of polyesters. The TP100’s new molecular structure has a higher glass-transition temperature, which boosts the thermal strength properties in the resin matrix.

Songnox line of antioxidants
Several advancements have led to the development of new materials in the Songnox line of antioxidants. Songnox 2500 is a hydroquinone-based antioxidant used in medical adhesives and elastomers, as an anti-scorch in wire and cable, and as a color-forming agent in chemical films. Because it is not a phenol, it works in oxygen-deficient conditions. Songnox 4425 is a cresol-based antioxidant that is highly effective in polyamides, polyesters, polyvinyl butyral (PVB) safety glass laminate, high-impact polystyrene, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), and a wide range of spin-finish compositions. Supplied in powder form, it is a primary antioxidant for organic polymers, offering the unique combination of very low discoloration, low volatility and high solubility. Songnox 6180 is a phosphite antioxidant that provides outstanding color suppression in ABS as well as low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) films, often in combination with Songnox 1680.
