Chemfluor Convoflex WCSR multipurpose chemical-transfer hose
The Chemfluor Convoflex WCSR multipurpose chemical-transfer hose is designed to handle the bulk transfer of corrosive chemicals (such as acids) that may damage the stainless steel braid commonly used as a cover on transfer hoses. The design of the low-profile, helical convoluted inner core provides flexibility and prevents kinking, a common cause of downtime for such demanding applications. The hose is constructed with a chemical-resistant, high-purity Chemfluor polytetrafluoro-ethylene (PTFE) inner core and is reinforced with high-tensile-strength Type 304 stainless steel braids. A wear-resistant, vulcanized ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) outer cover protects the integrity of the hose should the outer surface accidentally be exposed to acid or other corrosive chemicals. The hose comes in 0.75-in., 1-in., 1.5-in., and 2-in. sizes and can be used with over 40 different styles of PermaSeal crimp-style fittings in a wide range of materials.

ONESuit Shield
The ONESuit Shield is this company’s first Level B chemical protective hazmat suit and is certified to the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 1994 Class 2 and 1992 standards. In accordance with the NFPA 1994 Class 2 Standard on Protective Ensembles, ONESuit Shield protects first responders from terrorism incidents involving the use of chemical or biological agents. Under NFPA 1992, the new suit also offers certified protection against chemical liquid splash. The suit features an open face design so that the self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) is worn outside the suit, allowing the user to remain inside the suit. ONESuit Shield features a unique mask interface engineered for seamless mask compatibility and optimum comfort and security. The new Level B suit was developed from the proprietary high-performance Coretech barrier membrane, ensuring flexibility and comfort.

Rulon P30
New to this firm’s line of PTFE compounded materials is Rulon P30, developed for highly technical applications that require porosity, superior anti-adhesion and universal chemical resistance. The purity of this material ensures that no fluid it comes in contact with will become contaminated and its hydrophobic manner prevents water absorption. With a working temperature range from –320°F to 500°F, Rulon P30 is available in rods, tubes or sheets, as well as custom-fabricated finished parts. It is ideal for gas permeation, measuring devices, pH sensors, control systems, fluid management and spectrophotometer applications.

TLCTCO Chemical Transfer Hose
The new TLCTCO chemical transfer hose consists of a bonded smooth-i.d. Chemfluor FEP fluoropolymer liner; multiple EPDM rubber internal layers; double-plycord pressure reinforcement; double- helix, high-tensile-strength carbon steel wire support; and an externally convoluted EPDM outer cover (thus the –CO designation, for “convoluted outer”). Its increased flexibility is characterized by a reduced-force-to-bend and a small minimum bend radius. It is available in 3/4-in.- to 2-in.-i.d. sizes, and is rated for use at temperatures ranging from –40°F to 350°F.
