APEX screeners are available in one- and two-deck models with capacities up to 150 tons/h. The screening motion — characterized by long stroke and low frequency — rapidly stratifies particles without agitation or remixing, thereby delivering consistent particle size at high throughput rates. Mesh-cleaning balls bounce against the screen to provide aggressive blinding control, even in applications where lumps and objectionable fines are common. Gyratory motion at the feed end quickly spreads the product, and an elliptical-linear stroke at the discharge end separates closely sized materials. All models use pre-tensioned, lightweight (less than 10 lb) screen panels to ease access for maintenance. A patented cam lift system locks the ball trays and panels in place, so complete deck replacement takes only minutes.
APEX dry separation screener
The APEX dry separation screener is a self-contained screening machine that minimizes process downtime and reduces operating costs. Its ergonomic features allow quick and easy maintenance, cleaning and inspection and reduce operator effort, resulting in labor savings and improved operating efficiency. Side access doors and a patented lift cam system provide easy access to screens and ball trays. Screen installation and inspection can be completed in less than two minutes for each panel. The screener operates using a gyratory-reciprocating motion, and has a horizontal screen surface and proven mesh-cleaning system
Ultrasonex blinding control system
The Ultrasonex blinding control system reduces blinding and bridging in a screener handling difficult or sticky materials, such as metal powders, paints and coatings, pharmaceuticals, plastic resins, toners, foods and various chemicals. It uses a transducer probe to apply ultrasonic vibration directly to the screening mesh. This vibration is in addition to the screener’s vibratory motion, providing a secondary, high-frequency low-amplitude vibration that reduces mesh blinding, reduces screen tension, and improves screener performance. Its fully detachable ultrasonic probe incorporates a titanium core for high durability that eliminates wear on contact surfaces. It is available on new screeners and can be retrofitted to existing units.
Rotex Minerals Separator
Specifically designed to screen mined minerals and abrasives, such as sand, roofing granules, potash, salt, clay, borax and other high-capacity materials, the Rotex Minerals Separator provides excellent screening performance because of equal feed distribution to all screen decks, uniform bed depth across the entire screen surface, and a reduction in screen blinding due to the use of durable metal spring balls. The product features a stacked, multiple-deck arrangement with tray access design, allowing for individual screen access without the need to remove all decks. A patented Lift-Rail system with a nonblinding stainless steel mechanism enables easy installation and removal of the screen frame. The screen deck is sloped at an angle of six degrees, which maximizes screen efficiency and meets demanding product specifications. An easily accessible external drive cartridge allows continuous operation at temperatures up to 200°C and is designed for 200,000 hours of service.
Rotex Centrifugal Sifter
Designed to meet high-capacity sifting for bulk load-in/load-out and larger process applications, the Rotex Centrifugal Sifter can handle a wide variety of powders, granules, agglomerates and other free-flowing materials. Processed particles ranging in size from 1⁄4 in. to 44 μm (325 mesh) are scalped with ease. The combination of high centrifugal force and blade spreading action reduces binding problems, even when handling materials that tend to flake or agglomerate due to fat or moisture content. The spreading action of the sifter’s rotating blades distributes product around the sieve cylinder for complete utilization of screen area and conveys oversize particles to discharge. Accelerated particles impinging against the sieve cause it to vibrate and clean itself. Because it is totally enclosed, the sifter is not subject to dust problems. ROTEX Inc.
