De-dusting systems are used in the bulk solids industry for cleaning granular products such as plastic pellets, regrind, dry bulk foods, and minerals. The RC-Series DeDuster with CentraCone technology uses an electromagnetic field to break the static bond between the electrostatically charged product and dust particles. Product flows through the inlet funnel and into the CentraCone, where a stream of wash air removes the dust particles. The RC-DeDuster can accommodate product flowrates between 10 lb/h and 600 lb/h.
XP DeDuster
The XP DeDuster separates particles as small as 1 µm, as well as long streamers, paper and other contaminants. This technology is suitable for handling all types of granular products that need to be cleaned before packaging, shipping or processing. It features an electromagnetic field, which breaks the static bond between electrostatic-charged plastic pellets and the small dust particles. The units are designed for installation on injection molding machines, extruders or silos, or as free-standing units. The separator has air boosters that provide accurate flow control for maximizing cleaning efficiency
FineAlyzer
The FineAlyzer measures and analyzes dust particles in accordance with ASTM procedures to avoid vigorous movement or friction of pellets during the fines separation process. The technology is based on the principle that unwanted dust and fines will typically adhere to larger pellets and will be removed by rinsing the test sample with a liquid (preferably demineralized water). This process washes away dust and fines into a beaker. Particles are then poured into the filter collection unit, which separates the fines from the water. The parts-per-million concentration is determined by comparing the weight of the filter paper before and after the process. The wet analysis quantifies the amounts of dust having particle sizes from 1.6 to 500 µm.
