500AR hydraulic diaphragm metering pump
The 500AR hydraulic diaphragm metering pump is designed with an automatic air-release (AR) valve for use with chemicals that off-gas at room temperature, such as sodium hypochlorite. A polyvinyl chloride (PVC) head design minimizes internal space and eliminates areas where gas can accumulate. All ports slope upward to vent gas through the top of the pump and away from the polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE; Teflon) diaphragm. The PVC AR head can be specified on any of 500E series pump with capacties up to 9 gal/h (higher-capacity pumps purge gas naturally). All Series 500 models have a micrometer dial that allows manual adjustment over a 10:1 turndown range. Automatic control options include pneumatic or electric stroke-length adjustment and variable-speed drives.

all-digital electric stroke controller
This all-digital electric stroke controller regulates the flowrate of metering pumps in response to a 4-20-mA DC control signal. The unit also accepts 0–5 Vdc and 0–10 Vdc analog control signals or can be operated from incremental dry-contact closures. The new actuator has the same housing structure as its analog predecessor, allowing for easy upgrade of older pumps. It improves on the older design by simplifying configuration and calibration through the use of color-coded push buttons, LEDs and a single adjustment knob. Both customer calibration and factory-default settings are retained in the device’s memory, even during power failure.

Polymer Makedown System
This explosion-proof polymer makedown system is suitable for preparation, activation and injection of liquid polymers in water- and wastewater-treatment applications. It can produce dilute solutions (0.1%–2.0%) at capacities from 20 gal/h to 3,000 gal/h of total makedown solution. The system features all stainless-steel construction and uses the patented Gatlin mixer, which is a motorized mixing chamber that separates the polymer into an ultra-thin film for maximum activation. Booster pumps are not required, and materials are mixed and blended without blades that could damage fragile polymer chains. The system is unique in that it maintains maximum activation regardless of fluctuating flowrate or water pressure. An interlock prevents polymer feed if the water flow is insufficient. Standard systems include manual or automatic electronic metering pumps for polymer injection; larger models use motor-driven metering pumps or progressing cavity pumps. Available accessories include a desiccant breather, a calibration column kit, and a drum mixer.

Tacmina PZ Series electronic metering pumps
Tacmina PZ Series electronic metering pumps operate at a capacity that can range from 1 to 1,300 mL/min, and at pressures up to 220 psi. They are available in manual control, external input and programmable models. The pumps are suitable for applications that require accurate, reliable injection of liquid chemicals, nutrients or disinfectants. They will operate on any single-phase voltage, from 94 VAC to 264 VAC, and their patented design leaves flowrates and accuracy unaffected by voltage fluctuations. The programmable-model pump comes with onboard pH control and residual chlorine control without requiring a separate PID controller. Depending on the selected model, PZ pumps can be specified with either PVC, PVDF, or Type 316 stainless steel liquid-end construction.
