Silplus MP multipurpose silicone elastomers
Silplus MP multipurpose silicone elastomers can be compounded and blended to achieve desired properties, and are versatile for use in a wide variety of applications and processing equipment. Silplus EX silicone elastomers are stronger than the MP models, offering excellent extrusion performance. Silplus HS silicone elastomers have an even higher strength for use in very demanding applications.

SPUR+ 3100HM prepolymer and SPUR+ 3200HM prepolymer silylated-polyurethane resins
SPUR+ 3100HM prepolymer and SPUR+ 3200HM prepolymer silylated-polyurethane resins are high-performance, low-viscosity binding agents that impart high tensile strength to structural adhesives. They function without requiring primers for most substrates, and can be applied in both one- and two-part adhesive formulations. These additives provide excellent water and chemical resistance, as well as high thermal resistance. Their shelf life is about 12 months, and they are formulated without plasticizers and contain no free isocyanites. When cured alone, the SPUR+ 3100HM prepolymer has a tensile strength of 450 psi and a Shore A hardness of 40. The SPUR+ 3200HM prepolymer is designed for the most demanding applications, and can offer 1,000-psi tensile strength with a Shore A hardness of 60.

StatSil Antimicrobial materials
StatSil Antimicrobial materials incorporate a silver-based antimicrobial additive into a silicone elastomer base to inhibit microbial growth. They are available in ready-to-use and customized formulations, can be used at low additive loadings, offer a broad spectrum of activity, and provide design flexibility. Silver has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against a broad spectrum of both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as mold and fungi. Ionic silver carries a strong positive charge, which gives it a high affinity for negatively charged groups of biological molecules. Thus, silver is effective because it alters the molecular structure of biological molecules, leaving them worthless to the cell by turning off cell wall synthesis, membrane transport, nucleic acid synthesis and translation, and protein folding and function.

Silsoft
Silsoft is an innovative, competitively priced silicone gel with outstanding sensory performance. It is suitable for use in making value-priced color cosmetics and skin-care products that deliver performance benefits comparable to high-end products. It offers enhanced compatibility with organic materials, such as UV filters, and does not have the “balling” effect associated with traditional elastomers. A crystal clear gel, it spreads easily and leaves a silky feel on the skin. It is cold-processable and can withstand high-shear conditions. The gel’s performance benefits may enhance a wide range of products, including foundations, skin care creams and lotions, anhydrous serums, hair-care products and sunscreens.

Niax Y-16045 silicone surfactant
The Niax Y-16045 silicone surfactant is a non-hydrolyzable silicone copolymer suitable for formulation into resin blends for manufacturing rigid polyurethane foams. Its potential to substantially increase emulsion stability when the resin components are blended make this compound suitable for manufacturing flexible metal-faced laminated boardstock, rigid metal-faced boardstock and bunstock blown with hydrocarbons. The fine, regular structure of the foams produced with this surfactant results in low thermal conductivity.
