DuraPES filtration membrane
The DuraPES filtration membrane has a higher loading capacity than other commercially available membranes. The DuraPES membrane has a unique patent-pending pore structure and dual asymmetric membrane-wall that provides a protected separation layer. This layer has demonstrated its effectiveness in many applications with excellent retention characteristics. The membrane is a hydrophilic sulfonated polyethersulfone (PES) flat-sheet membrane that offers permanent hydrophilicity due to its unique polymer blend and has 80% porosity and a large pore diameter, which provides a high flux rate for superior filtration performance. It also has higher water permeability resulting in increased throughput. The DuraPES membrane is targeted for use in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries for the removal of particles in therapeutics, injectibles and buffer solutions. The food and beverage industry is also a focus area for DuraPES, where it can be used for clarifying and filtering water, beer, wine and juice.

SuperPhobic radial-flow membrane contactor
The 2 × 6 SuperPhobic radial-flow membrane contactor is an all-polyolefin degassing device that is resistant to many aggressive ink and coating solutions and various solvents. It is small and compact and provides inline degassing and debubbling of low-surface-tension solutions. The contactor uses a radial flow path through the contactor to maximize the surface area and optimize degassing efficiency. Hollow-fiber membrane is knit into a fabric array and wound around a central distribution tube. Liquid flows through the distribution tube, which is parallel to the hollow-fiber membrane. The liquid is forced radially over the membrane and exits the contactor through a side port in the housing. With 5.4 ft2 of membrane area, the contactor and one device can process up to 1 L/min of liquid. Larger contactors are also available for degassing higher volumes.

MicroModule membrane contactors
MicroModule membrane contactors improve many processes by removing bubbles and dissolved gasses from water used in laboratories and analytical/biotechnology equipment, or by removing bubbles that can be mistaken and measured as particles in particle counters. They are designed for in-line degassing and debubbling in applications with small liquid flowrates, and are ideal for laboratory and analytical markets that require oxygen-free liquids for pushing test samples into measurement and analytical devices. Their design packs a tremendous amount of membrane area into a small device, and this large membrane area translates into more-efficient degassing. Two sizes are available. The smaller module measures 0.5-in. by 1-in. and is capable of processing fluids up to 30 mL/min. Depending on the membrane option chosen, the device can debubble water used in laboratories and analytical systems or take bubbles out of low-surface-tension fluids, such as ink-jet printing inks, oils or other coatings. The larger unit measures 0.75-in. by 1-in. and is best suited to debubble water at flow rates up to 200 mL/min.
