www.gatewaysafety.com4x4 polarized protective eyewear
The 4x4 polarized protective eyewear is for workers who need protection from impact hazards and who face daily glare from light bouncing off flat, reflective surfaces. The 4x4 has been independently tested and certified to exceed the ANSI Z87.1+ and CSA Z94.3 standards. Unlike standard shaded lenses, these lenses contain a special optical filter that absorbs the horizontal component of light, seen as glare, and transmits only the vertical component. In addition to being annoying, glare is dangerous because some light waves can be intense enough to cause permanent eye damage. All 4x4 products have a durable, lightweight frame with dual wraparound polycarbonate lenses designed to look like fashionable sunglasses. A soft nosepiece provides a snug fit and flexible temple tips relieve pressure behind the ears. An anti-scratch coating protects the lenses from minor damage to preserve a clear view of the jobsite.
Bifocal Safety Eyewear
For workers needing bifocal vision correction and eye protection, Gateway Safety has added a clear 3.0-diopter lens option to its Scorpion MAG and StarLite MAG bifocal eye protection styles. Both are now available in five diopter strengths: 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0. Bifocal safety eyewear allows extra magnification without workers needing to switch between regular safety glasses and reading glasses. The Scorpion MAG eyewear has adjustable-length ratcheting temples and a soft fingertip nosepiece that allow it to fit comfortably without slipping, and a dual-lens design with a venting system that helps minimize fogging. The StarLite MAG, a bifocal version of the original StarLite safety glasses, boasts style, comfort, and all-around impact protection. Both versions meet or exceed the ANSI Z87.2+ standard.
Serpent Ventilated Safety Helmets
Serpent Ventilated Safety Helmets provide optimal protection against head injury while helping to keep workers cool. The CoolSense air-flow system relies on six vents along the peak of the helmet, which promote heat release and prevent heat buildup under the shell. A cushioned brow pad absorbs moisture and perspiration, and a rain trough diverts water from the face, improving comfort and promoting worker compliance. The helmet is lightweight, weighing just 13.1 oz, and has a sleek, “snakehead” shell design. The helmet’s six-point nylon suspension and high-density polyethylene construction provide comfort and impact resistance. The Serpent safety helmet can be adjusted to fit a range of head sizes, and complies with the ANSI Z89.1 Standard for Type 1, Class C helmets.
StarLite FOAM safety eyewear
StarLite FOAM safety eyewear is the newest member of the StarLite family of eye-protection products. It is designed with a soft foam edge that both blocks dirt and debris and helps to absorb perspiration and protect workers in warm, dusty environments. The scratch-resistant polycarbonate lens blocks more than 99.9% of UV-A, UV-B and UV-C light. It also prevents fogging when workers move between warm and air-conditioned environments. The lightweight eyewear meets the ANSI Z87.1+ standard. Related eyewear products in the StarLite SM product line are 10% smaller for women and workers with narrow faces.
Cover2
Cover2’s blending of safety, style and comfort is expected to be attractive to workers, thus boosting safety compliance. The temple tips are soft and flexible. Available in clear or gray, the lenses are lightweight and made of impact-resistant polycarbonate. It meets the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z87.1+ and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z94.3 standards, and blocks more than 99.9% of UV-A and UV-B light.
PeakFit respirator
PeakFit is a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)-approved N95 air-purifying respirator that has been specifically engineered for personal comfort. Its contoured design and ample size allow easy breathing, which helps reduce worker fatigue — and ultimately improves compliance rates and reduces safety expenses. The respirator’s molded nose bridge fits most faces without requiring the user to pinch a metal nose piece to achieve a better fit. The internal nose cushion is made from soft, closed-cell foam. The integrated, one-piece cloth head strap with buckle is fully adjustable to fit any head size and is more durable than conventional stapled models. The strap is latex-free, so it is safe for users with latex allergies.
StarLite Gumballs eyewear
StarLite Gumballs eyewear adds fun color options to the style, comfort and protective qualities of the original StarLite line of safety glasses. Each box features ten different, vibrantly colored temple choices, including: vanilla, black licorice, mocha brown, cotton candy, grape, orange, cherry red, blueberry, lemon yellow, and lime green. The lenses are clear and suitable for use in manufacturing, laboratories, medical offices, and many other indoor applications. The glasses comply with ANSI Z87.1 and CSA Z94.3 standards, and block 99.9% of UV-A and UV-B rays. They are available in a standard size, and as StarLite SM, which is 10% smaller for workers with narrower faces.
StarLite-SM safety eyewear
Since one-size-fits-all usually leaves out a few people, the smaller StarLite-SM safety eyewear has been specially designed for smaller, narrower faces. This version is 10% smaller than the classic StarLite models, but still provides exceptional impact protection, durability, superior optical quality, and a fashionable design. Its scratch-resistant polycarbonate lenses, which are available in clear, gray, clear anti-fog, and mirror finish, filter out more than 99.9% of harmful UV-A and UV-B rays. For a proper fit, safety glasses must touch the face at the nose bridge and behind each ear, and rest firmly on top of the nose and close to, without touching, the face itself. With appropriate size and comfort, the eyewear will be less of an irritation to users, leaving them more likely to be able to wear the eye protection for longer periods of time.
