SGi shaft grounding bearing isolator
The SGi shaft grounding bearing isolator protects bearings from electrical damage as well as from lubricant loss and contamination. It combines the proven technologies of the firm’s GUARDIAN nonsparking bronze labyrinth seal and the AEGIS shaft grounding ring in a single unit. It is suitable for motors controlled by variable-frequency drives (VFDs) that power pumps, fans, high-speed spindles, and other equipment in severe-duty applications, such as those found in the pulp and paper, food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, water/wastewater, and mining industries. VFDs are commonly used to save energy, but they induce motor-shaft currents that can damage bearings and eliminate any energy cost savings. The SGi diverts harmful currents safely to ground, bypassing the bearings entirely, thereby extending motor life. The built-in AEGIS FiberLock channel permanently secures circumferential rows of conductive microfibers, preventing their dislocation and the resulting accidental contamination of the bearing. Maintenance-free and designed for long-term total bearing protection, the SGi also provides an IP56 noncontact isolation seal that withstands dust and powerful jetting liquids. It easily replaces contact lip seals and traditional bearing isolators used in nearly every industrial application and withstands operating temperatures from –22°F to 300°F. The unit is available for motor shaft sizes ranging from 0.875 in. to 6 in. in flanged, flangeless, and custom configurations.

Flange Free
A proprietary inorganic coating that facilitates the removal of gaskets from flanged joints, Flange Free is designed for use in high-temperature, critical-service applications. Gaskets treated with this material are easier to remove after extended use — in most cases, the effort takes seconds, not hours, and requires much less force than untreated gaskets. The coating is fused to the surface of the gasket material and does not contain chemicals that can cause gaskets to crack or otherwise degrade. Branding is applied with a specially formulated, water-based ink that prevents transfer to the flange.

Multi-Swell gasket
The Multi-Swell gasket is a self-loading general-service gasket. This feature eliminates the most common cause of gasket failure — insufficient load. Easier to handle than conventional gaskets, Multi-Swell gaskets can be cut with ease and they readily conform to irregular flanges, ensuring tight seals at lower loads. The gaskets feature high crush strength, which allows safe installation in applications that would typically crush elastomeric gaskets.

HYDRA-JUST Sealing System
The patent-pending HYDRA-JUST Sealing System replaces mechanical seals in virtually any industrial pumping application; it’s especially suited to hostile, abrasive environments and eliminates the risk of catastrophic failure. The HYDRA-JUST is more robust than mechanical seals, and it handles system upsets with ease. It also gives users an indication when it starts to fail, so they can keep the system going until it’s convenient for them to change the seal. This means they can maximize their uptime, and schedule maintenance around their production needs, rather than re-scheduling production around sealing failures. Other benefits include: significantly reduced water consumption with cool, dry operation and no dilution; easy installation and operation (no special equipment required to use or install); and no start-up adjustments.

GYLON BIO-LOK Gaskets
The GYLON BIO-LOK Gaskets are dimensionally stable and pre-stressed, withstanding temperatures up to 260°C without deformation. Controlled compression during manufacture ensures that the gasket will not extrude into the pipe bore line. The need to re-tighten clamps, which is normally required as a result of creep relaxation of the gasket material, is reduced using GYLON BIO-LOK. The gaskets wide temperature compatibility and dimensional stability reduces the need for regular gasket changes when introducing different process chemicals. Holding a single gasket type in stock also eliminates the risk of introducing incompatible gasket materials to the process. Compliant with FDA and USP Class VI (toxicity) requirements, these gaskets are available to suit all sizes of tri-clamp fittings.
