Limitorque QXM
The Limitorque QXM is designed for rising-stem valve applications, including choke valves and small control valves in upstream oil and gas, water treatment, fossil fuel power generation, and renewable energy applications. The QXM is a smart electronic valve actuator available with either 6.5 total turns or a maximum of 20 total drive sleeve turns — an important feature for small valves that require limited travel and maximum control. The QXM encoder uses “system-on-chip” technology, which permits redundant, 12-bit resolution over 20 total turns, or an accuracy of less than 2 deg. of drive sleeve rotation. This redundancy is part of the built-in self-test feature of all Limitorque smart actuators.

Noble Alloy swing check valve
The Noble Alloy swing check valve resists corrosion and performs reliably in severe-service chemical applications. Because the redesigned valve is forged, it weighs 45% less than the previous cast version and provides improved bonnet-seal performance. The valve has a recessed hinge pin that is protected from the flow path, as well as an integral seat design and a high-integrity riveted disc assembly. The valve can be installed horizontally or vertically, and is available with soft or metal seating. It features multiple end connections and bolted-bonnet construction.

LD 682 seal cooler
The LD 682 seal cooler is an economical mechanical-seal support system that reduces emissions and increases both safety and reliability by controlling the temperature of the seal. Its Type 316 stainless steel cooling coil provides corrosion resistance, which reduces total lifecycle costs. This coil can be used where the process-side pressure is high because it has a wall thickness of 0.095 in. (2.41 mm). This helps meet operational and hydrostatic test pressure requirements for most applications. The cooler can be completely vented and drained, which is useful during maintenance to prevent gases and vapors from impeding performance and safety. Its design promotes a thermosyphoning effect, which provides circulation during stand-by conditions and improved fluid circulation during operation. Temperature-indicator labels allow easy monitoring of operational and seal system problems.

Valtek MaxFlo 3 valve
The upgraded Valtek MaxFlo 3 valve prevents the stem from being removed or ejected while under pressure. This robust shaft blow-out protection is fully compliant with ASME’s B16.34 Section 6.5.1 safety standard. Featuring low breakout torque and a tight bidirectional shut-off, the valve’s design increases the Cv (flow coefficient) and minimizes shaft damage from erosive process fluid. It comes in both a standard length (ISA-75.08.02) and globe valve length (ISA-75.08.01 or DIN 3202 F1), the latter of which eases transition from globe-style valves to eccentric rotary plug valves when conditions permit.

Valtek ShearStream SB segmented V-port ball control valves
Valtek ShearStream SB segmented V-port ball control valves have a rugged design that is cost-competitive. They feature standard metal and soft-seat options that provide tight shutoff for ANSI Class 150 and Class 300 service. The direct-mounted actuator allows for better control with fewer parts, and has a double-acting piston and precision linkage connection for accurate control and high-torque output. Supplying long-lasting sealing protection against fugitive emissions, the standard configuration includes V-ring stem packing with a combination of virgin polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and carbon-filled PTFE.

Flowstar.net
Already useful for reducing maintenance and inventory costs, Flowstar.net now features hydraulic decoking enhancements that capture information related to rotary joints and jet pumps. The software tracks rotating equipment, such as pumps, mixers, compressors and mechanical seals, as well as their corresponding process data, failure history and any outstanding recommendations for improvement. Flowstar.net uses these data to generate reports detailing cost trends and savings, troublesome equipment, premature failures, and mean-time-between-failure trends. The reports enable Flowserve engineers to identify and recommend system improvements, track reliability, and provide easy access to application information and reference lists. The software also acts as a repository for detailed unit surveys and walkthrough reports, and links serial numbers and references to drawings and bills of materials.

PSS III Split Seal
Designed for pumps and mixers, the PSS III is a single OD pressurized split seal that is suitable for use in paper mills, wastewater treatment facilities, soda ash processing and light chemical plants. Easy to install and maintain, the seal handles vacuum to 300 psig in normal operating conditions and successfully operates after experiencing excursions up to 450 psig. The allowable temperature range of the PSS III is 0–250°F, but custom designs may expand these limits of operations. In a trial application of the seal, the PSS III resulted in an increase in mean time between failure (MTBF) by more than 50%.

Worcester CPT ball valves
The Worcester CPT ball valves are engineered as control valves and provide reliable operation and precise valve positioning in critical throttling conditions. The valves can be used in systems that control steam pressure or pH levels, operate in low-temperature cryogenic conditions or up to 1,000°F, and meet EPA and OSHA specifications for containing toxic chemicals. CPT valves feature a patented seat technology, made from self-lubricated, full-contact sintered stainless steel, impregnated throughout with TFE (modified PTFE) or graphite. This unique seating material provides positive shutoff and eliminates galling when paired with the hard coated, super-round ball, which leads to lower torque, greater precision, and longer equipment life. Seats are available in several standard equal-percentage “V” shapes or linear-characteristic slots, as well as other customized characteristics such as dual-angle, noise/cavitation attenuation and multistage pressure drop. These features permit the CPT valves to be optimized for any specific application, and to be reconfigured when system parameters change.

ValveAnalysis
A software plug-in that enables certain diagnostic tests to be run on its products is now available.  ValveAnalysis works with Emerson Process Management’s AMS Suite to run the Ramp Signature test for the identification of leaks in tubing fittings, improperly  aligned plugs and seats, loose linkage, broken actuator spring sand sticky spool valves. For the HDL test, the plug-in calculates the four standard diagnostic signatures — hysteresis, deadband, repeatability and linearity — by opening and closing valves. ValveAnalysis does not bypass AMS, thereby ensuring that a complete device history is maintained.

IPS Tempo Pump Control System
A pre-engineered, intelligent pump optimization, control and protection system, the IPS Tempo incorporates variable-frequency drive (VFD) technology, pump-specific optimization software, an industrial-grade electric drive, and an intuitive menu-driven user interface. It monitors process variables and pump power, and adjusts pump operations in response to flow, pressure, temperature and level changes. The system helps eliminate costly downtime and repairs caused by dry running, blocked lines, pump overloads, closed suction or discharge valves, cavitation, and excessive wear and rubbing. Furthermore it reduces power consumption by up to 50%.
