Reverse Osmosis System
Reverse osmosis (RO) removes up to 98% of dissolved minerals and virtually 100% of colloidal and suspended matter from process water streams. This company’s RO system improves the performance of water-miscible cutting and grinding fluids. It also rejects harmful particulates that negatively affect coolant-recycle equipment, and does not require acids or caustics for regeneration. The RO system is available in capacities ranging from 100 gpd to 10,000 gpd, and is suitable for a pH range of 3–11 and a temperature range of 33°F–100°F. A multistage centrifugal pump, prefiltration cartridge, and low-pressure switch are included with every RO system.

E-Z Tec DSP metal detector
The E-Z Tec DSP narrow-profile metal detector catches ferrous, nonferrous and stainless metal contaminants in viscous liquids such as slurries, syrups, and pastes. By removing metal contamination, it enhances product purity, and it protects downstream equipment from damage, reducing machinery downtime and maintenance costs. When metal is detected in the product flow, a signal is sent to one of the available output relays, which can activate a ball valve, trigger an alarm, stop product flow, or send a signal to a programmable logic controller. Complete systems are available in pipe sizes ranging from 1.0 in. to 4.0 in. in diameter.

Vibratory Feeders
Heavy-duty electromagnetic vibratory feeders are easily installed and operated, requiring only wiring into existing alternating current (AC) lines without the use of a rectifier. They are equipped with the manufacturer’s Hi-Vi electro-permanent magnetic drives, which consume minimal power and have no need for routine maintenance. Feeder speed is regulated by varying the applied voltage in the compact variable solid-state controls. Control is stepless from 0 to 100% of capacity, with excellent linearity, and can be configured for automatic operation. The coil and magnet in the drive unit are encapsulated in epoxy, which eliminates coil movement and extends trouble-free coil life. Standard units operate at temperatures up to 135°F; high-temperature units can withstand up to 300°F.

E-Z Tec XR-81 X-ray inspection system
The E-Z Tec XR-81 X-ray inspection system examines large cartons or cases. It is constructed of a durable stainless steel cabinet with a 15-in. color screen and dual-generator architecture. This design allows full case inspection without the risk of burn-through at the corners. It offers an auto-matic setup and external connectors, which may be networked as a structured query language (SQL) client with full remote support facilities. The system does not need frequent calibration and can be customized to meet specific application requirements. It employs advanced linear array technology with superior speed and sensitivity for both loose product flow and package inspection.

Model XR-41 X-ray inspection system
The Model XR-41 X-ray inspection system is designed to handle larger-than-typical packaged products in applications that require detection of foreign bodies of metal, glass, calcified bone, and polyvinyl chloride. It features stainless steel construction, a 15-in. color touch screen and auto set-up, and does not require frequent calibration. The system uses linear array technology for improved sensitivity and speed. The XR-41 has external connectors that can be networked as an SQL client with full remote support facilities.

TGH-2 drawer grate
The easy-to-clean TGH-2 drawer grate uses a powerful rare-earth magnet circuit to provide superior separation of fine tramp-metal contamination. Designed for easy push-pull operation, it works well in applications where the process is stopped for grate magnet cleaning. This grate features a unique tube-scraper design that ensures removal of accumulated tramp iron, enabling the operator to clean all the tubes in each bank without having to hand-wipe them individually. It has a stainless steel housing and a chute that discharges ferrous contamination. On wide units, a center divider facilitates easy discharge of accumulated tramp metal. Optional inlet and outlet adapters are available.

“How to Choose and Use Metal Detectors”
“How to Choose and Use Metal Detectors” describes basic metal-detection principles, how metal detectors operate, rejection systems and record keeping. Various styles of metal detectors are covered, including horizontal aperture, vertical aperture, low-profile vertical aperture, liquid line, single surface, webbing, under-belt troughed, bridge and hand-held units. Also discussed are ways to maximize return on investment from the point of installation.

E-Z Tec 9100
The compact E-Z Tec 9100 is a highly sensitive device designed for installation in free-fall or gravity-fed applications, especially where vertical space is limited. The unit detects and rejects very small ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel metals. To allow greater quality control, the E-Z Tec 9100 is capable of inspecting both virgin and regrind plastic pellets to ensure all are free from metal contamination. It protects all types of molding machinery, granulators, shredders and other important equipment from costly damage. The E-Z Tec 9100 employs balanced-coil technology and features a high-speed pneumatically operated diverter, single printed circuit-board with surface-mount technology and more. Optional infeed hoppers are also available. The E-Z Tec 9100 is compliant with CE-EMC regulations and available in a wide variety of aperture sizes.
