Fisher VBL booster
The compact, lightweight Fisher VBL booster is designed for applications in which a valve positioner alone cannot provide the stroking speed needed to meet rapidly changing process conditions and demands. The booster enables fast valve response in the face of rapid input-signal changes. It incorporates a variety of features that work in tandem — fixed deadband, internal soft seats that produce tight shutoff (to reduce unnecessary air consumption and eliminate positioner delays), and an internal bypass restriction that enables fast actuator response. Maximum input signal pressure is 10.3 bar (150 psig), and the input-to-output ratio is fixed at 1:1.

AMS Machinery Manager Version 5.4
The latest release of the AMS Suite: Machinery Health Manager, AMS Machinery Manager Version 5.4 helps plant personnel to effectively identify and resolve vibration-related machinery problems through predictive diagnostics for many types of mechanical assets. The company’s CSI 9420 Wireless Vibration Transmitters provide accurate vibration monitoring (in terms of spectrum, waveform and trend vibration data) of motors, fans, pumps and other mechanical assets. This information allows users to more effectively manage the performance of rotating equipment through analysis of key machinery health trends and patterns. Data can be imported on demand or at regularly scheduled intervals, based on specific maintenance and equipment needs. The system also includes an Overall Vibration Index report. This system gives maintenance and operations personnel access to critical, real-time machinery data that allow them to identify and resolve machinery issues before process interruptions occur.
DeltaV S-series platform
The DeltaV S-series platform includes major enhancements to I/O processing, operator displays, asset management, batch capability, and security that reduce complexity and simplify and speed commissioning. I/O options include wireless, HART, analog input (AI), analog output (AO), digital input (DI), digital output (DO), digital processor (DP), or thermocouple (T/C), among others. The I/O devices can be placed in a rack room, a remote location, a hazardous area, a safety system, or a harsh environment. Users can choose traditional wired, wireless, bussed, or electronic marshalling. Electronic marshalling eliminates two-thirds of the wiring and connections needed by conventional marshalling cabinets. Single-channel CHARacterization ModuleS (CHARMS) relay I/O information to any DeltaV controller via an Ethernet connection, which eliminates the need for users to wire I/O to specific controller I/O cards. These benefits improve plant uptime, and make projects simpler and easier to engineer and implement.
Rosemount 8800D vortex flowmeter
The Rosemount 8800D vortex flowmeter enhances online vortex sensor maintainability while increasing safety for critical applications. Traditional vortex flowmeters need to be shut down to verify performance of the vortex sensor. The vortex sensor in the 8800D flowmeter is isolated from the process, so it can be maintained without shutting down the process. The flowmeter verifies the health of the transmitter by simulating the vortex flow signal.
9901 family of chambers
The 9901 family of high-quality chambers enables external mounting of level measurement and control instrumentation on process vessels. External mounting allows easy isolation of a particular instrument for routine maintenance or calibration, as well as for the fitting of instrumentation to vessels having internal structures. The units can also act as stilling chambers for liquid surfaces that are prone to turbulence. The chambers’ design is fully compliant with the European Union’s Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B31.3 standard. They are available simply as chambers for use with existing instrumentation, as well as via an integrated bolt-on instrumentation solution from the manufacturer. Standard chamber selections include carbon steel or stainless steel, with diameters of 3 in. (80 mm) or 4 in. (100 mm). A wide choice of process, drain and vent connections is offered to minimize fitting costs.
Rosemount 3051SMV transmitter
The Rosemount 3051SMV transmitter improves productivity and energy management while enhancing environmental compliance. It measures three variables and provides mass and energy flow output, reducing the number of devices usually needed to make differential-pressure flow measurements from ten to one. It updates flow measurement 22 times per second, providing effective tracking of production, demand, and total usage of process gas, steam and natural gas. This results in more-accurate billing, as well as immediate detection of anomalies that lead to product loss. The transmitter can be scaled to optimize flow measurement in four different applications: full compensation (differential pressure, line pressure, and temperature measurement) for gas, natural gas or steam; differential and line pressure measurement for saturated steam; differential pressure and temperature measurement for liquids or saturated steam; and differential pressure measurement for liquids at stable temperatures. Configuration is simple — the user enters just three application parameters, and then the Engineering Assistant software handles the rest of the setup.
