Consista C601 polypropylene catalyst
The Consista C601 polypropylene catalyst is the first sixth-generation Ziegler Natta catalyst. This nonphthalate-based catalyst system can be used — with no additional capital or upgrades to existing facilities — to produce polypropylene for goods that are lighter, cleaner, and clearer, using maximum machine speeds. It is a drop-in technology option for the Unipol PP Process.

DOW ECOLIBRIUM bio-based plasticizers
DOW ECOLIBRIUM bio-based plasticizers are designed to be incorporated into polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounds used to make wire insulation and jacketing. They are made of 100% renewable feedstocks and can help cable manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% when used as a replacement for traditional PVC plasticizers. Wires jacketed with PVC containing this plasticizer achieve an excellent balance of flame-retardance, flexibility and heat performance in electronic devices and appliances, and because they are phthalate- and lead-free, they are safe for wiring in buildings and for data communication.

HT-Solve 515
HT-Solve 515 is a high-temperature solvent that is suitable for cleaning equipment used in polymer manufacturing processes, including reactor vessels, pipelines, heat exchangers, pumps, and other equipment that is vulnerable to residue buildup. When polymers are manufactured, a plastic powder residue is produced during polymerization and monomer volatilization, building up inside secondary copolymer reactors and transfer lines. This residue accumulates and solidifies on surfaces, causing equipment to lose efficiency. The solvent, a mixture of diphenylethane and alkylated aromatics, thoroughly cleans the processing equipment by dissolving the residue. HT-Solve 515 is thermally stable at temperatures as high as 625ºF and has a low vapor pressure. It provides a more efficient cleaning than mechanical methods because it allows equipment to be cleaned inline without disassembly, reducing downtime and labor requirements associated with cleaning.

Dowtherm RP heat-transfer fluid
Dowtherm RP heat-transfer fluid, a diaryl alkyl, is aimed at applications that require liquid-phase heat transfer. It can be used in nonpressurized systems and is pumpable to 32°F (0°C). Unlike other low-pressure fluids — including partially hydrogenated terphenyls and dibenzyl toluene fluids — RP fluid degrades primarily to low molecular-weight products. This characteristic reduces the need to remove high molecular weight material from the system, resulting in longer fluid life, reduced fluid makeup requirements and less system downtime.
