Thurmalox 260 TIC Series coatings change color at predetermined temperatures to provide a visual warning that an interior lining system has failed and indicate where corrective action is required. Changes occur at intervals from 25°F to 50°F, depending on formulation, and coatings are available in colors that change permanently at predetermined increasing temperatures, from 400°F to 650°F. These coatings are self-priming and comply with volatile organic compound (VOC) regulations, and are offered in yellow, blue, red, and violet. They can be applied by spray, brush or roller, and provide corrosion resistance and ultraviolet stability.
Thurmalox 8886 Series heat-resistant coatings
Thurmalox 8886 Series heat-resistant coatings are two-component silicone copolymers that provide long-term protection in weathering conditions by creating a barrier against attack from glycol cooling agents and synthetic lubricants at temperatures up to 450ºF. Available in clear, black and custom original equipment manufacturer (OEM) colors, they are suitable for use on valves, castings, pumps, sumps, compressors, pipes and exhaust systems. The coatings can be applied by many types of conventional and airless spray equipment, including high-velocity low-pressure (HVLP), high-transfer efficiency (HTE) and assisted airless sprayers. They adhere well to clean, smooth carbon, stainless, blasted, phosphatized and primed steel, and to galvanized, copper and aluminum substrates. The coatings are available in 1-gal and 5-gal kits.
Thurmalox 218 Primer/219 Topcoat protective coating system
To prevent corrosion under insulation (CUI) and protect equipment exposed to high heat and severe thermal conditions, the Thurmalox 218 Primer/219 Topcoat protective coating system can be applied directly by brush, roller or spray to hot surfaces, allowing users to treat hot equipment without first shutting it down. The system is effective at temperatures from ambient to 450_F, including in many applications that involve continuous and rapid wet-dry-wet thermal cycling. Resistant to continuous immersion in ambient, hot and/or boiling water, the coating is a low-VOC, high-solids, high-build, abrasion-resistant modified silicone formulation. Applications include vessels, reactors, process piping, furnaces, flare stacks, reactors, reformers and other equipment in high-temperature service. Thurmalox 218 Primer/219 Topcoat protective coatings are available in 1-gal and 5-gal kits.
