Stargate-O-Port slide-gate valve
The Stargate-O-Port slide-gate valve (or through-port valve) features a well-guided blade — with a hole in the middle — passing through both ends of the valve body. This design offers several advantages. Foreign matter does not get trapped in the bottom of the valve or jammed between the gate and the body. This prevents seat damage so that the valve always seats and seals well. The valve has a class VI shut-off, independent of the pressure differential between upstream and downstream side. Over 97% of the valve’s body thickness is solid material, resulting in a very stiff valve body. Capable of handling pressure shock waves and aggressive flow media, the valve is virtually maintenance-free and can be installed in any position in the pipe since it does not have a preferential flow direction.

The 567/568 series feature a modular design ranging in size from 2 in. to 8 in., with either a glass-filled polypropylene wafer body (Type 567), or an epoxy-coated iron lug body (Type 568). The inner body, disks, and bearings are available in PVC, polypropylene and polyvinylidene fluoride. The lockable ergonomic lever enhances worker safety via a 5-deg ratchet setting that ensures precise positioning of the lever and eliminates incidental movement due to accidental bumping of the handle. Other safety features include an integrated electric position indicator in the mounting flange that shows whether the valve is open or closed. An index plate clearly indicates the angle opening in degrees.
Type 568 lug-style butterfly valve
The Type 568 lug-style butterfly valve has shaft seals that incorporate a double O-ring to protect against external leakage. A disc seal replaces the traditional rubber liner to allow the disc to completely disengage from the seal upon valve opening, reducing friction and improving wear capabilities. The disc seal also incorporates a cross-sectional profile that mechanically retains the seal in the valve body. And a specially engineered body seal features a Q-shaped O-ring that eliminates the need for flat gaskets. The valve has a modular design with an epoxy-coated iron lug body. The wetted inner body, disc and bearings are available in PVC, chlorinated PVC (CPVC), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) or polypropylene (PP) to match the outer pipe material, providing excellent chemical compatibility throughout the system. With a pressure rating of 150 psi, the valve can withstand operating temperatures up to 120_C (PVDF), 80_C (PP and CPVC) or 60_C (PVC). Designed for dead-end service, the valve enables a piping system to be capped off, yet allows future modification or expansion of the pipeline without depressurizing the system.
