The APSH flexible braid-reinforced, platinum-cured silicone hose is now available with anti-wick seals to prevent liquid absorption within the hose walls. This single-use aseptic, peristaltic pumping system utilizes a closed-fluid pathway in which the containment tubing becomes the pump. The closed tubing system and gentle peristaltic motion permit contained cytotoxic liquids to be installed and dispensed within a convenient, easy-to-use, easy-to-change, fully contained fluid pathway. Unlike traditional piston-pump filling operations, in which manual loading and unloading of materials and the required CIP and SIP processes expose users to cytotoxics, this system eliminates the manual measuring and filling of cytotoxic liquids on the filling line, and requires only a change of tubing with no CIP washdown required prior to loading or changeover. PTFE Components
The PTFE Components line of seats, seals, gaskets and washers is engineered from various formulations of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), perfluoroalkoxy (PFA), and modified PTFE (TFM) to achieve the specific combination of lubricity, wear, and heat- and chemical-resistance properties required for an application. These products can be machined, die-cut, and stamped to meet original equipment manufacturer requirements for use in compressors, instruments, pipelines, pumps and valves. Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) Tubing
This polyetheretherketone (PEEK) tubing is available in many varieties, including natural PEEK, solid color-coded, dual-layer color-coded, striped, and dash-stripe coded. For all the tubing models, standard sizes include outer diameters of 0.0141732 in. (360 µm), 0.03125 in., 0.0625 in., and 0.125 in., with inner diameters as small as 0.002 in. The interior surfaces of the standard sizes are color-coded according to the following scheme: 0.005-in.-i.d. is red; 0.007-in.-i.d., yellow; 0.010-in.-i.d., blue; 0.020-in.-i.d., orange; and 0.030-in.-i.d., green. These have a tolerance of ±0.0005 in. for inner diameters up to 0.010 in. and ±0.001 in. for those larger than 0.010 in. All colorants used are Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS)-compliant. On the dual-layer color-coded model, only the outer layer is pigmented, eliminating potential pigment contamination of the sample stream. This model’s pressure performance is equivalent to that of single-layer tubing.
