In a typical oil mist application, atomized lubricant is injected into the bearing housing; without proper sealing, it will escape into the environment through the shaft ends. With the OM 32 Series oil mist bearing isolator, the lubricant is coalesced to a liquid and drains back into a sump or researvoir. The bearing isolators consist of a rotor and stator, unitized so they do not separate during use, which interact to keep contamination out of the bearing enclosure and the oil mist contained. The OM 32 is made entirely of non-sparking bronze and has no contacting surfaces that could heat up and ignite volatile materials in the area. Unlike contact seals, bearing isolators do not wear out.

Designed to be used in aggressive chemical and pharmaceutical applications, the Axius reverse-acting rupture disc is available in corrosion-resistant materials and has the tightest tolerances available. The rupture disc can also operate without fatigue from full vacuum up to a 95% operating ratio for over 50,000 cycles. Using Fike’s new G2 Technology, the Axius rupture disc was developed without using traditional tooling methods, such as coining or scoring. When tooling is used to create a score line it stresses the material where the tooling has been applied, thus creating an area for potential early fatigue and/or failure. This means more replacement discs for plants to purchase. Instead of a score line on the edge of the disc, the Axius has a “line of weakness” on the dome itself. The Series TRVDT three-port, in-line relief valve is ideal for systems requiring minimal footprint or where the use of a piping tee is not practical. The upgrade to Advanced Back Calculation (ABC) release-rate estimation software significantly improves the ability of the end user to detect, quantify, and respond to hazardous airborne emissions. The program uses open-path laser and infrared (IR) technologies, along with point gas measurement, to maximize the use of data and the ability to create sophisticated detection architectures. This allows the responder to organize a proactive response to a loss of containment event. The open-path design presents concentration over a path as ppm. Using these data, the software describes where the path is crossed and reveals the level of gaseous material that must be emitted to match the measured path concentration. Open-path technology continues to gain acceptance by industry for such applications as monitoring target chemicals and identifying specific hydrocarbons. The software is suitable for monitoring substances like hydrogen fluoride and benzene, which can be difficult to isolate. It is well-suited for detecting substances in amounts below the 1 ppm threshold, which is fairly common to fixed gas monitors.

The upgraded Valtek MaxFlo 3 valve prevents the stem from being removed or ejected while under pressure. This robust shaft blow-out protection is fully compliant with ASME’s B16.34 Section 6.5.1 safety standard. Featuring low breakout torque and a tight bidirectional shut-off, the valve’s design increases the Cv (flow coefficient) and minimizes shaft damage from erosive process fluid. Flo-Tel+ burst detection system
The Flo-Tel+ burst detection system is an upgrade to the Flo-Tel, adding a thermistor to monitor temperature changes that can affect the burst pressure of a rupture disc and other key process parameters. This noninvasive, magnetic system is installed on the vent side of the rupture disc to minimize downtime. Unlike traditional membrane-type detectors, the Flo-Tel+ is fail-safe and only operates when a disc has ruptured, eliminating the possibility of a false alarm.
