NYSEAL sealing element
The green-colored pre-applied NYSEAL sealing element eliminates the time-consuming in-house application of O-rings, gasket seals and sealant compounds by creating a gasket-like seal withstanding pressures up to 500 psi. The coating, which is permanently fused on the bearing surface of the fasteners, eliminates the leak path and will not work loose. As the screw is seated to its final position against the mating part, the NYSEAL element compresses slightly and fills the void under the bearing surface of the head and countersink or bore. It prevents galvanic corrosion between dissimilar materials, is highly durable and will not shrink or dry out from age. NYSEAL works in temperatures up to 150ºF and is resistant to chemicals like alcohol, gasoline, oil, kerosene, diesel fuel and hydraulic fluids. It requires no additional curing or heating after installation.

NILOS-Ring “Type LSTO” steel-disk seals
NILOS-Ring “Type LSTO” steel-disk seals provide protection for grease-lubricated bearings exposed to extreme levels of contamination. They satisfy key performance requirements by minimizing bearing friction losses and heat build-up, and by preventing lubricant leakage and penetration of dirt. The non-contact, grease-filled labyrinth sealing elements consist of laminated steel-seal disks and steel cores. The seals resist axial pressure and will not slip when clamped in the axial direction of both the inner and outer periphery of a roller-bearing ring. Type LSTO steel-disk seals are available for use with a wide range of shaft and casing diameters and are ready-to-install for quick and easy mounting. They can be further customized to meet application-specific requirements.

HYDRA-JUST Sealing System
The patent-pending HYDRA-JUST Sealing System replaces mechanical seals in virtually any industrial pumping application; it’s especially suited to hostile, abrasive environments and eliminates the risk of catastrophic failure. The HYDRA-JUST is more robust than mechanical seals, and it handles system upsets with ease. It also gives users an indication when it starts to fail, so they can keep the system going until it’s convenient for them to change the seal. This means they can maximize their uptime, and schedule maintenance around their production needs, rather than re-scheduling production around sealing failures. Other benefits include: significantly reduced water consumption with cool, dry operation and no dilution; easy installation and operation (no special equipment required to use or install); and no start-up adjustments.

Multi-Swell gasket
The Multi-Swell gasket is a self-loading general-service gasket. This feature eliminates the most common cause of gasket failure — insufficient load. Easier to handle than conventional gaskets, Multi-Swell gaskets can be cut with ease and they readily conform to irregular flanges, ensuring tight seals at lower loads. The gaskets feature high crush strength, which allows safe installation in applications that would typically crush elastomeric gaskets.

Flange Free
A proprietary inorganic coating that facilitates the removal of gaskets from flanged joints, Flange Free is designed for use in high-temperature, critical-service applications. Gaskets treated with this material are easier to remove after extended use — in most cases, the effort takes seconds, not hours, and requires much less force than untreated gaskets. The coating is fused to the surface of the gasket material and does not contain chemicals that can cause gaskets to crack or otherwise degrade. Branding is applied with a specially formulated, water-based ink that prevents transfer to the flange.

Sanisal P regeneration tablets
Required as part of the pre-treatment for pure-water generation systems, water softeners run the risk of growth of microorganisms on the large surface area of their ion exchange resins. Such growth has the potential to contaminate the water and result in impermissibly high germ counts that could endanger production processes. This problem is often mitigated with built-in sanitization facilities, which are complex and expensive. A simpler solution comes in a regeneration tablet: the germ-reducing Sanisal P. Like conventional regeneration salt, this additive is introduced into the salt or brine tank of the water softener. The tablet’s active substance is released and enters the water softener during regeneration, where it kills any germs that are present. The dead germs and any residues of the chemical are then flushed out of the softener during the rinsing phase, so they cannot have any negative effects on subsequent process stages. The taste and smell of the treated water remain unchanged. Use of the tablets consumes no additional energy, and normal regeneration salt is no longer needed. Sanisal P can be used in existing systems without modification.

Tropical MarketFirst
Every day at 12:00 a.m. GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), and at other intervals thereafter, the U.S. National Weather Service releases the Global Forecast System’s (GFS) 00Z track forecast for existing named tropical systems in the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Basin. Using this information, Tropical MarketFirst can predict 12Z (12:00 p.m. GMT) hurricane tracks and release the data up to two hours before they would normally be released to the public. The system also allows users to compare the 12Z forecast with observed data coming in from the 00Z and 06Z tracks. Predictions are accessible to users via a secure password-protected website. Each forecast track predicts a storm’s path out to 16 days or until landfall is expected, and a cone of uncertainty is displayed surrounding each forecasted track.

HT-Solve 515
HT-Solve 515 is a high-temperature solvent that is suitable for cleaning equipment used in polymer manufacturing processes, including reactor vessels, pipelines, heat exchangers, pumps, and other equipment that is vulnerable to residue buildup. When polymers are manufactured, a plastic powder residue is produced during polymerization and monomer volatilization, building up inside secondary copolymer reactors and transfer lines. This residue accumulates and solidifies on surfaces, causing equipment to lose efficiency. The solvent, a mixture of diphenylethane and alkylated aromatics, thoroughly cleans the processing equipment by dissolving the residue. HT-Solve 515 is thermally stable at temperatures as high as 625ºF and has a low vapor pressure. It provides a more efficient cleaning than mechanical methods because it allows equipment to be cleaned inline without disassembly, reducing downtime and labor requirements associated with cleaning.
