MT2000 Wave Guide Model C9P81
The MT2000 Wave Guide Model C9P81 makes measurements using guided-wave radar — a waveguide directs the microwave pulses, eliminating the beam divergence problems common to conventional non-contact radar transmitters. Because operation does not depend on fluid density, readings do not fluctuate with shifts in the specific gravity of the fluid and are not subject to variations in dielectric constants. The C9P81 features an alumina ceramic insulator that allows accurate and reliable measurements up to 2,000 psi (138 bar) at 635°F (335°C).

Sysmex FPIA-3000 automated particle shape and size analyzer
The Sysmex FPIA-3000 automated particle shape and size analyzer now has the capability to measure particles suspended in nonaqueous solvents, as well as those in water-based materials. This is especially important in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, where there is often a requirement to measure the shape and size of particles that are soluble in water. The Sysmex FPIA-3000 can now accommodate all common solvents, including acetone, methylethylketone, ethyl acetone, xylene and toluene. This instrument can measure particles in the range of 0.8–300 µm and, using a CCD camera, produces images of each particle as well as a scattergram of shape index versus particle size in just 2.5 min. Samples pass through a sheath flowcell that transforms the particle suspension into a narrow or flat flow, ensuring that the largest area of the particle is oriented towards the camera, and that all particles are in focus. The CCD camera captures 60 images/s; these images are analyzed in realtime.

Micro Motion ELITE flowmeter
Earlier versions of the Micro Motion ELITE flowmeter provide flow measurements with ±0.10% accuracy. In this latest rendition, accuracy is ±0.05% for mass and volumetric flow, and up to ±0.0002 g/cm3 for density — representing a two-fold improvement in density performance. The device is designed for chemical dosing, high-value custody transfer and other applications where precise measurement is critical. In addition, overall meter stability is boosted to a level that eliminates the need for field zeroing. Increased processing speeds and a new Coriolis sensor design combine to solve the problems associated with identifying and accurately measuring “two-phase flow” dilemmas, enabling precise measurement of streams  containing entrained gas, such as bubble flow, slug flow, and empty-full-empty batch applications.

Type 567/568 butterfly valve series
Designed for industrial, potable and wastewater treatment systems, the Type 567/568 butterfly valve series features a double-eccentric-disk design typically found only in high-end metallic configurations. This double eccentricity reduces seal friction and wear, resulting in longer service life, minimal maintenance and better protection against pressure surges. It also lowers the torque required to operate the valve, easing manual operation and allowing the use of smaller, less expensive actuators. The 567/568 series feature a modular design ranging in size from 2 in. to 8 in., with either a glass-filled polypropylene wafer body (Type 567), or an epoxy-coated iron lug body (Type 568). The inner body, disks, and bearings are available in PVC, polypropylene and polyvinylidene fluoride. The lockable ergonomic lever enhances worker safety via a 5-deg ratchet setting that ensures precise positioning of the lever and eliminates incidental movement due to accidental bumping of the handle. Other safety features include an integrated electric position indicator in the mounting flange that shows whether the valve is open or closed. An index plate clearly indicates the angle opening in degrees.

HRC Advanced (HRC-A)
A new in-situ technology, HRC Advanced (HRC-A), time-releases a combination of highly efficient lactic and fatty acids that enhance the near-, mid- and long-term biodegradation of many chlorinated and other contaminants, including industrial degreasers, chlorofluorocarbons, carbon tetrachloride, methylene chloride and a variety of pesticides, explosives and dyes. HRC-A is shipped as a concentrate and mixed onsite with three parts warm water to form a micellular microemulsion, which has greater soil-coverage capacity than comparable products. As the solution is pumped throughout an aquifer, it slowly releases lactic acid, which is fermented by naturally occurring bacteria. The hydrogen that is released accelerates the biodegradation processes and reduction of the target contaminants to harmless end-products.
