ALTRON alumina-bonded silicon carbide
ALTRON alumina-bonded silicon carbide (SiC) can be precision-cut into shapes that outlast nitride-bonded SiC brick and wear-resistant alloys. Field tests have demonstrated a service life improvement of 200%. Objects made of this material have refractory-like densities, which allows them to undergo repeated thermal cycling without experiencing thermal-shock damage. At the same time, the material maintains the type of very tight porosity that is normally found only in dense, advanced ceramics. It can be used in the processing and transport of slurry, ore, ash, coal, coke, and catalysts. Typical forms include pipe linings, elbows, burners, valves, cones, nozzles, micronizers and pump components.

VectorWall mixing checkerwall system
The VectorWall mixing checkerwall system improves the operation of tubesheets in reaction furnaces and boilers by eliminating dead zones, which increases the effective volume of the furnace or boiler and improves its overall combustion efficiency. The system is an improvement on the manufacturer’s existing HexWall system, using the add-on Vector Tile to create a swirling vortex in the reaction chamber rather than the individual flows within the boxes of the checkerwall. The tile also protects the tubesheet refractory from direct flame impingement and hot spots.

InVinCer lines of high-performance advanced silicon carbide products
The InVinCer lines of high-performance advanced silicon carbide products are available in both reaction-bonded (SiSiC) and recrystallized (RSiC) materials. The SiSiC offers excellent wear, chemical, oxidation and thermal shock resistance, and the highest thermal conductivity to its maximum use temperature of 1,380°C. Available products include rollers, beams, posts, burner nozzles, pump components, crucibles, mechanical seals, micronizers, cyclones and sand blasting nozzles, in addition to others. Custom shapes are also available upon request. The RSiC offers very high strength, excellent thermal shock, oxidation and abrasion resistance to its maximum use temperature of 1,610°C. Available products include thin-walled beams, posts, plates, special plate setters, burner nozzles, saggers, rollers, and specialized structural members, as well as custom-shaped parts.
