ION Collaboration and the ION Mustering applications
In the complex environment of industrial processing facilities, the ION Collaboration and the ION Mustering applications provide clear information about the status and safety of personnel and equipment. ION Collaboration is a realtime communication system tailored for the plant workforce. Message streams are filtered according to topic, so only members of specified groups receive certain messages. Mobile employees can use phones and electronic tablets to view and contribute to message streams. ION Mustering verifies the location of all personnel during an emergency using WiFi, GPS, or RFID tag tracking. When an alarm is activated, the locations of any missing personnel can be pinpointed and displayed on a map

ION system health monitoring application
The ION system health monitoring application provides analysis and visualization of the health of operational systems. It monitors devices, machines, and all networks, providing manufacturers complete knowledge about the status of their system. With this insight, users can identify potential problems and proactively manage all system components. The application’s unified view gives a facility one record with unlimited personalized views for better accountability, less complexity, and more relevant information.

IONizer industrial wireless networking appliance
The IONizer industrial wireless networking appliance uses the manufacturer’s IONosphere and ION system to integrate wireless sensor network gateways based on either ISA100.11a or WirelessHART standards. Its 802.11 (WiFi) radios support other industrial wireless applications, such as mobility, location, video, and communications, as well as provide efficient, wireless backhaul of sensor data. This integration allows transmission of real-time sensor data from devices instrumented with ISA100 or WirelessHART-based sensors to the ION Condition Monitoring application. Combining this with other ION applications, such as ION Video and/or ION Asset Tracking, creates operational dashboards that can be customized to an individual’s role in the plant.
