KALCRET-S Sprayable Compound
This spray system applies KALCRET-S wear compound to large surfaces quickly and reliably to reduce wear and abrasion, and handle high temperature. With the new spray technique, highstrength KALCRET-S can be sprayed horizontally and vertically to achieve a jointless lining. The sprayed-on surface can be worked to attain a smooth surface. KALCRET-S is a mixture of hard aggregate materials ranging in size from 0–4 mm and consisting of bauxite or corundum (depending on application), cement binder and micro silica. Defined amounts of steel fibers add structural strength. The wear- and abrasion-resistant KALCRETS can be used at temperatures up to 1,200°C and provides excellent thermal-shock resistance and oxidation stability.

KERAFLEX wear-protection systems
KERAFLEX wear-protection systems are suitable for use where high rates of abrasion and impact occur in combination, such as transfer chutes in belt conveyor systems and impact zones in bunkers and silos. Their maximum operating temperature is 176ºF (80ºC), and they are produced in standard panels up to 20 in.2 with welded studs or countersunk bolting attachments. The KERAFLEX-KRM consists of the manufacturer’s ALRESIST high-alumina ceramics with a tile thickness of 0.5 in. or 1.0 in. and a rubber thickness determined by impact severity. KERAFLEX-WRM consists of KALMETALL-W welded plates, rubber and steel. KERAFLEX-KR, which provides for a flexible lining that is glued in place, is only available with rubber backing and a 0.125–0.5-in. thick ALRESIST tile.
