Custom Optics are Ready for OEM Assembly

These custom sapphire optics are precision-manufactured in a wide range of configurations with holes, slots, wedges, stepped edges, special coatings, and other characteristics. They feature a Mohs hardness of 9, which is second only to diamond in hardness. They are chemically inert and can be fabricated to precise specifications as lenses, windows, domes, prisms, tubes, rods, and balls, and can be supplied ready for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) assembly. They are available as plano-convex and -concave lenses and windows from 0.5-in. to 6-in. dia., with flatness to 1/10th wave, parallelism to 2 arc-sec, and surface finishes to <0.5 nm. They transmit up to 85% when uncoated, and over 99% when enhanced with a coating, depending upon thickness. The balls come in sizes from 0.005-in. to 0.5-in. dia., with 0.000025-in. per ball sphericity.

Bio-Based Amine Oxide Is a More Cost-Effective Hard-Surface Cleaner

Genaminox CHE is a peroxide-stable amine oxide (AO) hard-surface cleaner (HSC) made from a plant-based renewable hydrophobe. It enables manufacturers to cut active ingredient input by up to 66%, reducing material purchasing, transportation and storage costs to achieve lower costs for greener cleaning products. According to industry-standard Gardner tests, it consistently outperforms alternative surfactants at a very low concentration because its critical micelle concentration (CMC) is less than half that of lauryldimethyl AO. Compared with existing products on the market, Genaminox CHE offers 50% better soil removal in an anti-bacterial formulation and a 44% improvement in a green all-purpose cleaner formulation. It has an excellent foam profile, making it well-suited to spray-and-sit HSC cleaning formulations.

Beads Control Temperature Without Water or Ice

Bath Armor metallic beads are eco-friendly and low-maintenance replacements for water in water baths, aluminum blocks in dry baths, and ice in ice buckets. Eliminating the water and ice reduces the chance of contamination, as well as the need for machines that produce ice or the need to change the water. The beads thaw, warm and chill samples with high thermal efficiency, and their performance is not influenced by temperature fluctuations caused by evaporation. They are self-supporting, requiring no racks or clips for use, and can be used from –80°C to over 350°C for a broad range of laboratory uses.
