Balston filters can take 99.99% of oil, water, rust and pipescale particles of at least 0.01 µm out of compressed air and other gases. They are constructed of Type 304 stainless steel, which enables them to withstand very harsh environments, such as those in food and beverage, chemicals, refinery, and pulp and paper facilities. They are available in 0.25–1.0-in. line sizes with flow capacities to over 700 std. ft3/min, and are available with automatic drains and a high-efficiency filter cartridge installed.

Die-Cut Membranes Filter Fluids and Gases
Custom precision die-cut membranes are manufactured to specification using a proprietary process that produces smoother edges than compression cutting and is performed in a clean, positive-pressure facility. They can be produced from a dxf, pdf, or almost any type of drawing file, are made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), nonwovens and other materials, and can incorporate intricate shapes, including narrow cross-sections and close hole spacing. Membranes as small as 1 in.2 with ±0.005 in. tolerances can be supplied on rolls, with or without an adhesive backing. They filter fluids and gases for pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical, and laboratory equipment applications.

Filter Cartridges Can be Customized
Teflex Series absolute PTFE membrane filter cartridges provide full particle retention. Their endcaps have center cores and outer support cages constructed of polypropylene for increased durability. These cartridges can be used as filters in electronics, food and beverages, high-purity chemicals, and general-purpose†filtration applications. They are rated to withstand temperatures up to 176°F (80°C), as well as a maximum differential pressure of 50 psid (forward) or 40 psid (reverse). Sieve Shaker Handles Heavy Sample Loads
Suitable for both dry and wet sieving, the AS 450 3-D sieve shaker can hold up to 450-mm test sieves. Its electromagnetic drive operates at an amplitude of up to 2.2 mm, making its separation process more efficient than that of comparable sieve shakers. Its control panel allows the user to digitally set the amplitude, interval and sieving time. The sieve shaker can hold loads weighing up to 20 kg, and is available with mesh sizes as large as 125 mm to as small as 25 μm (500 mesh). It has a serial interface that allows automated evaluation using the manufacturer’s EasySieve software on a PC.
