Duplex Pump Removes Out-Gas Bubbles From Sodium Hypochlorite Injections
The Chloritrol valveless metering system provides accurate, maintenance-free injection of sodium hypochlorite into water. Since liquid sodium hypochlorite tends to out-gas, traditional metering tools present a challenge for maintaining accuracy. Chloritrol’s valveless duplex pump design has one high-pressure pump that injects the sodium hypochlorite directly into the water main, and another that removes out-gas bubbles from the inlet side of the other pump head.

Indexing Vacuum Belt Filter is Pneumatically Operated
The BHS indexing vacuum belt filter measures 3.5 m wide and has 73.5 m2 of filter area in addition to a candle filter system. The belt filter performs filtration, washing and drying of high-value product in an alkaline slurry, while the candle filters recover fines and recombine them in the process for maximum product recovery. This technology enables production of thin cakes (as small as 5 mm) on a continuous basis. The vacuum filtration, cake washing, vacuum or hot-gas drying with mechanical compression, and automatic and continuous dry-cake discharge steps are tailored to meet specific process requirements. In the filter’s continuous-indexing design, the vacuum is switched on and off to allow the filter cloth to move intermittently in steps across fixed trays. This eliminates the need for rubber carrier belts, a motor and a variable-frequency drive, and allows the use of the highest possible vacuum at the fixed trays.

Gas Monitor Series has Different Models for Different Levels
The OXS Series inline/online gas monitor is based on the manufacturer’s tunable filter spectroscopy (TFS) technology. The OXS-3100 is designed for measurements in the ppm to percent range, whereas the OXS-4100 is used for sub-ppm ranges. Both systems provide real-time, optical scanning of multiple compounds in gas flows and processes. Their networking capability and factory calibration allow for easy installation and remote operation in industrial environments. Standard configurations include the OXS-4100-103 for sub-ppm monitoring of trace impurities, such as CO, CO2, hydrocarbons, and moisture, in atmospheric gases, and the OXS-3100-113 for percent-level monitoring and speciation of hydrocarbons.

Triple-Offset Butterfly Valves Withstand High Temperatures and Pressures
TC Series butterfly valves are a lightweight, cost-effective solution for piping applications that require higher temperatures and pressure settings. Their triple-offset frictionless-disc design allows for lower torques and pressure-assisted sealing at temperatures from –321°F to 1,022°F (–196°C to 550°C). These valves meet the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute (API) 609 standard, and thus can serve as economical replacements for gate, globe and ball valves. They are available in sizes of 3–24 in. with wafer, lug or double-flanged designs, and will fit most piping requirements up to and including American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) class 600 pressures. TC valves are suitable for use in gas, oil, refining, chemical, marine, power generation and pipeline transmission applications.

Stirred Laboratory Reactors Perform at High Pressures and Temperatures
HPR Series stirred reactors are designed for laboratory-scale pressurized chemical reactions, including high-pressure chemical synthesis, process development, etc. They range in size from 50 mL to 4 L and may be operated at pressures up to 10,000 psi and temperatures up to 350°C. Their magnetically coupled impeller provides optimal mixing, and all their high-pressure components are American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)-rated and protected by a rupture disc for safe operation. They are suitable for tasks where repetitive use makes convenience a necessity, such as in catalytic studies and polymerization, hydrogenation, oxidation, isomerization, and dehydrogenation applications. All sizes are supplied ready-to-use and require only utility connections prior to operation. The reactors are compact instruments that fit easily into a fume hood. Their modular design makes it simple and cost-effective to alter the unit’s basic configuration to adapt to new or evolving needs.
