Desuperheater Provides a Stable Steam Supply

The Desuperheater Series DS has a water spray design that provides a simple, cost-effective method of desuperheating steam. Its nozzle is positioned at the center of the desuperheater and sprays water axially in the direction of steam flow. The unit features a conical insert with a thermal sleeve to increase velocity and promote rapid absorption of water, while isolating the housing from thermal stress. The desuperheater is suitable for applications with relatively stable steam demand, such as those with a 2:1 or 3:1 turndown ratio.

These Heat Exchangers Require Less Space and Energy

Kenics heat exchangers are equipped with static mixers to increase efficiency. Even with highly viscous, difficult-to-process materials, these high-performance thermal units provide maximum heat-transfer rates — 3–7 times higher than those of conventional empty tubes. They require less space and less energy, and provide faster processing times, than similar designs. The units feature all-metal and alloy construction and handle pressures up to 10,000 psi.
