Epoxy Provides Sealing For Metals and Nonmetals

The EP19HT adhesive/sealant is a storage-stable, single-component, low-viscosity system that cures readily at elevated temperatures to a tough, chemical-resistant, clear amber thermoset plastic. It contains no solvents or diluents, and cures in 1 h at 250°F; cure time can be reduced by raising the temperature to 325–350_ F. The material has a viscosity of 500–600 cP at 75°F, a volume resistivity of more than 1,015 Ω-cm, a tensile strength exceeding 10,000 psi, and a heat deflection temperature of more than 280_ F. With a service operating temperature range of –60°F to 400°F and excellent resistance to water, inorganic acids, bases, salts and many organic solvents, it is suitable for use as an adhesive in electronic/electrical applications, as a chemically resistant liner, and in providing sealing porosity in graphite.

Construction Adhesive Holds Until Cured

Loctite PowerGrab is a heavy-duty industrial construction adhesive that grabs instantly with nine times the initial holding power of traditional construction adhesives. It can be repositioned for 15 min after it is applied to a surface, and will hold firmly in place until it cures. The adhesive eliminates the need for bracing, nailing and other fastening devices, which saves time and money by enabling a single worker to complete many tasks. It can instantly hold a maximum vertical load of 20 lb/ft2 or 10 lb/cm2 on a porous surface. The adhesive is water-resistant and paintable, and easily bonds to both porous and nonporous materials, including concrete, brick, wood, stainless steel, ceramic, tile and most plastics. Industrial applications include mounting signs, fabricating temporary or permanent structures, remodeling, repairing materials, etc.

Coating Uses Two Layers To Prevent Dents

Dent Resistant Coating Technology is a two-layer system consisting of an elastomeric base coat and a dent resistant top coat. The base is a 0.25–2.0-mm-thick layer of silicone that has a thermal conductivity of 0.3–0.8 W/mK and a hardness of 20–70 Shore A. The top layer is a 20–50-µm film coating of fluropolymer with low surface tension that enhances release properties. The technology is applicable to many monochrome and color environments, and can be applied to various substrates, including aluminum and steel inserts, as well as stainless steel, nickel and polyimide belts.

Specialized Materials Testing Assesses Erosion from Cavitation and Liquid

This firm’s services include standard ASTM G-32, G-73, and G-134 testing, as well as customized testing for cavitation and liquid-impact erosion using ultrasonic, water jet and whirling disk devices. Cavitation erosion can be assessed at pressures from ambient to 2,800 psi. Evaluations can be made in different liquids and at different controlled temperatures. Using a split Hopkinson pressure bar, material properties at high rates of strain (~3,000/s) can be measured.

Twin Centrifugal Screener Has an Ultra-High Capacity

The Centri-Sifter twin ultra-high-capacity centrifugal screener provides the performance of two individual high-capacity screeners, but with a smaller footprint. It handles either dry or moist bulk-solid materials, which are gravity-fed through a splitter that evenly divides the incoming flow into two horizontally oriented cylindrical screening chambers operating in parallel. A shaft in each screening chamber rotates a helical paddle assembly that accelerates the radial movement of particles against the screen. Particles of the desired size pass through apertures in the screens and fall into a cone-shaped discharge chute, while oversized particles are propelled through the open end of the cylinders and ejected via a discharge spout. Each screening chamber features a sliding end cover and a three-bearing shaft that cantilevers for quick removal of internal components and rapid sanitizing. External roller bearings are located at the motor end of the shaft and on a sliding cover at the discharge end for maximum support and vibration-free operation.

Progressing-Cavity System Transports Multiple Fluids Through One Pipeline

The Tri-Phaze is a patented progressing-cavity system designed for multiphase pumping in the oil and gas industry. It allows all fluids produced at the well site, including oil, water and gas, to be transported simultaneously through a single pipeline to a central processing station. Its abrasion resistance allows for smooth transfer of sandy fluid. It can generate flowrates of up to 60,000 bbl of fluid per day (BFPD), with suction pressures up to 900 psi and discharge pressures up to 1,200 psi. Its stator elastomer formulation provides excellent resistance to aromatics. The system efficiently handles gas void fractions up to 99%. Its low-shear pumping action preserves each fluid’s characteristics without emulsification or degradation.

Diaphragm Pumps Provide High-Flow, High-Pressure Performance

Pentaflex Series 7.0 GPM high-pressure diaphragm pumps are constructed with a co-injection-molded diaphragm, which virtually eliminates potential leak paths. Their five-chamber design allows operation at pressures exceeding 60 psi. The pumps have self-priming capabilities that exceed 10 ft, and they are available in 12-VDC and 24-VDC models. Constructed of Santo/EPDM (ethylene propylene diene M-class rubber) and Santo/Viton fluoroelastomer, they are strong enough to handle many tough chemicals without corroding.

Bulk Bag Filler Eliminates Dust Problems

The Model CS Spirofil bulk bag filler offers bag-filling by volume. The process requires that bags be inflated prior to filling to ensure that they are fully extended and without folds or creases that could reduce capacity, cause instability, or create discharging problems. The bag-filler design ensures dust-free, spill-free filling at rates up to 20 one-ton bags per hour. When filled, the bags are erect and upright, making them stable for safe handling, storage and transportation. The unit provides an efficient and economic means of filling bags for removal by lift truck for industries such as chemicals, animal feed, plastics, minerals, aggregates, and food, dairy and pharmaceutical.
