Sound Meter Reduces Noise Test Times

The CEL-620B wide-range (20–140 dB) integrating sound meter features real-time octave band frequency analysis from 16 Hz to 16 kHz, along with a full-color liquid crystal display that presents overall noise levels in numerical and graphical formats. It is designed to digitally measure sound levels in factories, refineries, construction sites and other industrial workplaces where noise can be a problem. It displays the previous minute’s readings, allowing the user to view trends and pinpoint significant events when levels rise above background levels. The instrument helps plant managers comply with U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

Safety Gloves Preserve Sensitivity

Made of a thin Viton-brand synthetic rubber over butyl material, ChemTek 38-214T gloves provide workers with 90 min of protection from phenol chloroform and many other dangerous chemicals. In addition, they have longer breakthrough times (more than 200 min) for other chemicals, including acetic acid, benzene, ammonium hydroxide, carbon tetrachloride, dimethylacetamide, methylene chloride and sulfuric acid. They improve on previous safety gloves, which did not provide sufficient dexterity and tactile sensitivity to allow wearers to perform lab work efficiently.

Safety Eyewear Protects in Style

The design of A900 Series safety eyewear and A900 reader magnifiers takes inspiration from the latest trends in sunglasses, providing lightweight frames and a comfortable fit at an affordable price. These eyewear lines meet two different needs — one is appropriate for everyday tasks, and the other provides increased magnification for such tasks as reading, close-up inspections, and fine-detail work. A900 Series eyewear offers side coverage, with wraparound, distortion-free polycarbonate lenses in clear, gray or silver-mirror tints. It features padded temple tips, a nose bridge made from nonslip material, and either the manufacturer’s Fog-ban anti-fog coating or a scratch-resistant hardcoat. A900 Series reader magnifiers offer 180-deg. field of vision, as well as high-impact, hardcoat and UV protection. Lenses may be clear or tinted gray, and can provide +1.5, +2.0 or +2.5 magnification.
