Durable Fuser Speeds Up Pipe Joints

The Electro Plus Fusion Machine joins thermoplastic pipes and fittings in corrosion-resistant piping systems used in chemical processing facilities, pharmaceutical waste systems, semiconductor manufacturing, power plants, pulp and paper mills, and corrosive-waste disposal systems. Operated via a hand-held, user-friendly interface, the machine employs electrical resistance heating to join thermoplastic parts together. It can process multiple joints during a fusion cycle, and features a one-button repeat function for same-sized joints. The machine has an operating temperature range of –10ºC to 45ºC and automatically compensates for ambient temperature. Its input voltage requirements are 100–130 VAC or 200–250 VAC 60 Hz. It weighs 45 lb and measures 22-in. wide × 14-in. deep × 10-in. high. Its durable design allows for use in harsh field environments, and a built-in safety feature prevents the fusion cycle from restarting while the machine is connected to the piping.

Hose Stops Static Build-Up

The Flx-Thane static dissipative (SD) hose prevents static build-up and is suitable for dry material transfer applications where dust could pose a safety hazard, such as clean rooms, powder and bulk transfer, dust collection, fume extraction, and the processing of food, chemicals and plastics. Designed for efficient material flow, the hose has a smooth interior and a surface resistance of 108–1010 ohm. Its bronze-coated spring-steel wire helix dissipates charges to ground. The hose has a 0.030-in. wall thickness and is available in inner diameter sizes ranging from 2 in. to 12 in., and 25-ft and 50-ft lengths.

Flexible Tubing Extends Pump Life

AdvantaFlex weldable and heat-sealable tubing is manufactured from biopharmaceutical-grade thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and is designed for use in high-purity fluid-transfer processes, such as sterile filling, vaccine production, cell media and harvesting, bioreactors, high-purity water transfer, and filtration. It can also be used on equipment in pharmaceutical sampling and delivery systems, peristaltic pump transfer systems, and pharmaceutical production and processing. Featuring low permeability, the tubes can withstand repeated cycles of compression and release. This property enables the tubing to provide consistent, dependable performance compared to similar products. AdvantaFlex can be welded directly to other components to make secure connections without the entrapment issues associated with fittings and clamps. It complies with USP, ISO, EP and FDA cleanliness standards and is free of animal-derived ingredients.

Piping Accessories Match Performance Requirements

The PTFE Components line of seats, seals, gaskets and washers is engineered from various formulations of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), perfluoroalkoxy (PFA), and modified PTFE (TFM) to achieve the specific combination of lubricity, wear, and heat- and chemical-resistance properties required for an application. These products can be machined, die-cut, and stamped to meet original equipment manufacturer requirements for use in compressors, instruments, pipelines, pumps and valves. The components are chemically inert and unaffected by most corrosive fluids, and are suitable for use at temperatures in the range of –400ºF to 500ºF. They can be filled with glass fiber, carbon or graphite, and conform to rough seal surfaces.
