Electronic Hose Track ID System Records Usage Data

The Hose Track Identification and Lifecycle Analysis System modernizes the conventional pen-and-paper log book method of recording usage data for process equipment. Its updated brochure includes an easy-to-read chart that highlights the differences. This patented system features an enhanced level of safety and security to processing functions performed in critical industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech, food and beverage, and others involving high-purity applications. Developed for hose assemblies, it can also be used for other process components, such as bio-bags, pumps, filters, diaphragm valves, UV lamps, tanks and vessels. Using RFID technology and software, the system identifies individual parts to monitor continual, wear-related events, such as cleaning cycles and the number of batches processed. The system tracks where a critical component has been throughout its useful life and provides a reliable, 21 CFR Part 11 compliant, electronic pedigree for all tagged critical components.

PTFE Couplings Complement Piping Systems

The polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) cam-lock, quick-connect coupling complements Fluor-O-Flo PTFE-threaded piping systems. Suited for corrosive liquid-flow applications, the coupling can be used both as a standalone product or as part of a PTFE- threaded piping system. When used as part of a system, the coupling speeds up the installation process by providing system points independent of thread-tightening angles. The coupling also provides an easy attachment point for components, such as tanks, that must be periodically removed or replaced. The internal fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP)-encapsulated silicone O-rings ensures process purity and corrosion resistance in all process conditions. The couplings are available in Schedule 80 pipe sizes from 1/2-in. to 4-in., with both male and female NPT  thread connection options. The cam-locking levers are stainless steel and can be replaced if needed. In addition to the chemicals industry, the couplings are ideal for pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, water treatment, and paper-and-pulp applications.

Compressed Air Piping Systems are Economical

Air-Pro Compressed Air Piping Systems are available in sizes ranging from 1/2-in. to 12-in. The systems offer socket, butt and electro-fusion fittings in a variety of styles, including tees, reducing tees, 90s, 45s and more. They are safe and reliable, offering fast, low-cost installations, which are made easier by a unique tapping saddle that reduces both drops and required welds. Engineered for continuous operating pressures from 150 to 230 psi, Air-Pro Systems use Solvay Eltex TUB 124 blue high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin, which is extremely ductile, light-weight and corrosion-free. The systems are chemically resistant to compressor synthetic oils and mineral oils that traditionally attack glued systems. Color-coded blue up to 4-in., and black from  6-in. to 12-in. for easy identification of compressed air lines, Air-Pro comes equipped with transition fittings, stub ends and backing rings for flanging.
