HMI/SCADA Software Update Responds to Consumer Demands
The human-machine-interface supervisory control and data- acquisition (HMI/SCADA) software iFIX 4.5 provides comprehensive monitoring, control and data management. This new version addresses a wide range of customer-identified needs, advanced reliability to improved ease of use, while adding more power and flexibility. In producing this update, designers focused on making infrastructure improvements and customer-requested usability updates. The iFIX 4.5 supports operation on the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. The software automatically adopts the latest operating system look and feel throughout all of its applications and dialogs. Another major enhancement is dynamo versioning, which assigns names, version numbers and descriptions, to dynamos. Double-precision math in the iFIX Process Database translates to an ability to deliver 15 digits of data precision for all internal calculations and data use. Backwards compatibility will be achieved with existing systems while enabling newer iFIX nodes to leverage the new data precision.

Integrity 2.0 is the latest release of a highly successful automation-configuration-management solution software that is already installed at over 500 sites worldwide. This new version provides a single web view to all real-time data flow and automation assets across the plant, making it especially well-suited to meeting the needs of operations, maintenance and safety personnel at process manufacturing facilities. The software logs all changes to real-time infrastructure so that authorized users can view the actual system and application interdependencies normally only available to the control system administrators. The Experion C300 controllers have been certified by Mu Security’s Mu-400 security analyzer as meeting industry-defined security standards. Breeze Aermod Parallel creates air disperion models on a multi-CPU, multi-core computer or distributed computer network environment, minimizing model runtimes and accelerating the entire process. The software accepts Aermod input files created for use with any version of EPA’s Aermod and is available for both Windows and Linux. It adheres to Microsoft standards for intuitive, uniform graphical user interfaces, and features standardized toolbars, views, menus, commands and dialog boxes.
