These Cost-Effective Filters Have Long Lives
These dust collection cartridge filters feature an advanced nanofiber filtration technology that allows them to last twice as long as cellulose and 80/20 commodity filters. The novel technology allows advancements in surface loading capabilities, including a surface treatment of synthetic nanofibers, which forms a nanoscopic mesh to trap dust particles on the filter’s surface. The particles are released easily during the cleaning cycle and lower the pressure drop over the life of the filter. Dust collection systems equipped with these filters may use up to 60% less compressed air and require less energy to operate. They are certified to collect submicronic dust particles at MERV 15 efficiency levels. These filters can reduce emissions by 50% or more over standard cellulose filters, provide a cleaner breathing zone for workers, and minimize facility maintenance.

Tough Sifter’s Design Keeps Height Requirements at a Minimum
The low-profile Flo-Thru sifter features a gap-free screen frame with quick-disconnect clamps and a crevice-free interior finished to cGMP, 3-A, USDA and FDA standards. This finish allows a rapid, thorough washdown. Its design significantly reduces minimum height requirements with two unbalanced-weight gyratory motors mounted on opposing exterior sidewalls of the unit, rather than the usual single motor positioned beneath the screening chamber. The unit can be disassembled with no tools for rapid sanitizing and is intended to separate oversize particles as small as 38 µm (400 mesh) from dry bulk materials or solids-laden slurries. The wire mesh screening material is offered in Types 304, 316 and “magnetic” 400-series stainless steel that can be captured by a downstream magnet if broken. The sifter is offered in diameters of 24-in., 30-in., 40-in., 48-in. and 60-in. It can be equipped with either single or twin imbalanced-weight gyratory motors, and furnished with a dust-tight cover.

Fabric-Welded Filter Bags Stay Sealed
Sentinel filter bags meet the requirements of liquid filtration applications that have a zero tolerance for filtration bypass. Manufactured using a unique fabric-welding technology, as opposed to sewing, these filters have no needle holes that allow unwanted particulate matter to bypass the filter bag. This process also enables the manufacturer to shape the bags to conform to the internal shape of the filter basket, preventing bag failure. The bags come standard with a patented plastic ring that makes a secure, bypass free seal between the filter bag and the filter housing. The design of this seal creates a constant, radially directed pressure to prevent the ring from collapsing into the filter basket. Sentinel filter bags are available with either polypropylene or polyester construction in both double-length, 7-in.× 32-in. number 2 size, and single-length 7-in. × 16-in., number 1 size, to fit filter housings from most manufacturers.

Small-Scale Filter Dryer is Efficient and Versatile
Suitable for multi-product kilo facilities, this lab-scale system has a 0.05 m2 filtration area, a 15-L liquid capacity, and typically 2–8-L wet cake capcity. Designed to handle batch sizes of 1–5 kg, the compact system can be easily moved and receive slurry liquid from multiple reactors. It achieves product containment with a top-mounted 100 mm split valve for vessel charging. Integrated into the frame, a tilting mechanism allows complete inversion of the vessel for contained powder discharge via the same split valve. A standard system can reach <10 µg/m3 containment, and ancillary components can make the system achieve <1 µg/m3. The unit’s base can be fitted with either filter cloth or sintered metallic mesh to increase flexibility.
