Powerful Batch Oven Is Customizable

Suitable for curing epoxy, the No. 942 is a gas-fired, 350°F walk-in batch oven. It measures 84-in. wide × 144-in. deep × 108-in. high, and the oven’s interior and exterior are made of aluminized steel. The unit features 4-in. insulated walls on each side and a 2-in. insulated floor with three pairs of built-in truck wheel guide tracks. Its integral 6-in. I-beam supports raise the oven above the factory floor level. 400,000 btu/hr of power are installed in a modulating natural-gas burner to heat the unit, while 12,000 ft3/min total from two 5-hp recirculating blowers provide combination airflow to the workloads. The oven features safety equipment required by IRI, FM and National Fire Protection Association Standard 86 for gas-heated equipment

Insulated Hot Room Oven Operates Efficiently

Designed to safely heat 32 drums or eight totes, the Sahara Hot Room model S32 is a steam-heated, energy-efficient oven built with a rugged steel construction. This model features a finned-tube heating-coil rated for saturated steam up to 200 psig. For ovens using hot oil or hot water as the heating medium, a recirculating coil is available. Finished with heat-resistant silver, the 12-gauge interior walls enclose a volume with the dimensions: 230-in. wide × 55-in. deep × 98-in. high. The exterior, made from 14-gauge walls finished with acrylic enamel, measures 237-in. wide × 62-in. deep × 120-in. high. The oven features a spill containment pan with a 220-gal capacity and a dual °C/°F scale temperature control indicator mounted on the door as a 5-in. dial. The S32 replaces inefficient homemade hot rooms and awkward band heaters. Also available in an electric model, the 10,050-lb oven is shipped completely assembled and is forklift movable.

Hot Oil System Heats Multiple Manufacturing Processes Evenly

Featuring a rugged, pre-engineered design package tested for continuous operation at temperatures up to 650°F, this custom Hot Oil System is designed for use in heating revolving rolls, platens, molds, jacketed tanks and autoclaves. The arrangement of low watt-density sheath heating elements provides heat inside the tube bundle. The buffer tank design eliminates the oil degradation problems commonly associated with systems using hot oil (over 150°F). The pump suction features a self-venting chamber to automatically remove low boilers. Suitable for use in a petrochemical plant, this package can be used to ensure even heat and a smooth distribution of product for polyethylene sheet manufacturing. This even heating capability also makes the system useful in pharmaceutical manufacturing and in pulp-and-paper processing.

This System’s Dryer Is Efficient and Versatile

This small-scale contained filter dryer provides maximum efficiency and versatility in R&D kilo labs. The dryer is part of an overall system that has a 0.05-m2 filtration area with 15-L liquid capacity and a typical 2-8L wet cake capacity. Typical applications use batch sizes of 1-5 kg in a compact system that can be easily moved and receive slurry liquid from multiple reactors. The system achieves containment by means of a top-mounted 100-mm split valve that charges each vessel. Designed with a tilting mechanism integrated into the frame, the system allows complete inversion of the vessel for contained powder discharge via the same split valve. This achieves a containment of <10 µg/m3. Optional accessories can be added to the standard valve to achieve <1 µg/m3.
