Pressure Transmitter Eliminates Leak Points
The 364 pressure and differential-pressure transmitter features an innovative design that eliminates the need for bolts, gaskets and flanges — all traditional leak paths in pressure transmitters. A lightweight all-stainless-steel housing and process connection is standard, along with a Hastelloy C-276 diaphragm for corrosive process media. The device has a stability of ±0.15% of maximum span for a 10-yr period, which reduces calibration frequency. An on-board LCD display with an “Easy Steup” menu configuration simplifies installation and commissioning.

Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions With this Infrared Camera
The ThermaCAM GasFindIR-LW infrared camera can detect more than 20 different gases, including sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) — a greenhouse gas with an estimated atmospheric lifetime of 3,200 yr and a global warming potential 23,900 times that of CO2. Capable of scanning large areas to allow thermographers to locate SF6 gas leaks up to hundreds of feet away, it delivers real-time, high-resolution thermal images of gas leaks, which can be displayed on a standard TV or recorded digitally. The lightweight unit weighs only 4.6 lb and is powered by a camcorder battery. The GasFindIR-LW can also detect acetylchloride, allyl bromide, allyl chloride, allyl fluoride, 1,3-butadiene, ethylene, Freon 11, Freon 12, Freon 112, Freon 113, Freon 114, methylsilane, methyl vinyl ketone, methyl vinyl ether, propenal, propene, styrene, trichloroethylene, vinyl chloride, vinyl ether and vinylidene fluoride.

Modular Enclosures Protect Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Devices
Built on a modular platform to offer maximum flexibility, the CC3000 operator-interface enclosure system protects operator interface terminals and electronic monitors in UL Type 12 industrial environments. The enclosures feature single-wall aluminum construction to dissipate heat efficiently and eliminate heat buildup inside the enclosure. In many cases, this eliminates the need for active cooling, but if needed, an internal fan can be installed. Four standard models are sized to fit the most popular HMI tools, including flat-screen devices, lights, meters and gages; units can also be custom-sized to the user’s exact requirements in millimeter increments from 250 ¥ 250 mm to 600 ¥ 600 mm. The CC3000 meets UL 508A, UL 508, UL Type 12, NEMA/EEMAC Type 12, and CSA C22.2 No. 94 Type 12 standards.

Viscosity Sensor Operates Under Pressure and Vacuum
Using the “piston time-of-fall” method, the M10 viscosity sensor measures viscosities from 0.1 to 100,000 cP at pressures from vacuum to 100 psi. It is designed for suspensions or solutions, and is sensitive enough to detect the difference in the viscosity of boiling water (0.294 cP) and ambient water (1.06 cP). The sensor features Type 316 stainless steel wetted parts, and can be equipped with piston rods of 12 different sizes for installation in tanks from 12 in. to 12 ft deep. A suitable replacement for manual viscosity measurement techniques, it can be used with a PLC to provide automatic sampling and process control.

Infrared Sensor Accurately Measures Low Temperatures Regardless of Emissivity
The Marathon MM 3M infrared sensor uses shorter IR wavelengths to minimize errors due to the uncertainty of emissivity. This makes it less sensitive to changes in emissivity on the target material than long-wavelength sensors and enables it to provide more accurate readings across multiple targets at varying temperatures. The sensor features precision variable-focus optics that allow it to be accurately focused with a touch of a button, and a NEMA-4 sealed user interface that guarantees the integrity of the electronics. The 3M is the latest addition to the Marathon MM Series, which includes six models that cover the ranges of –40°C to 800°C (low), 250°C to 1,100°C (medium), and 300°C to 3,000°C (high). All of the units provide enhanced continuous remote temperature monitoring, ease of installation and sighting, video surveillance and documentation, remote PC interface, flexible configuration, and field calibration software.

Actuator’s One-Piece Assembly Provides Strength, Durability and Reliability
A vane seal that is custom-molded to a machined shaft and vane construct to create a one-piece shaft/vane/seal assembly gives the PRNA Series miniature rotary actuator its durability and strength, and increases its overall reliability. It is versatile enough for use in lubricated or non-lubricated filtered air at pressures ranging from 30 to 150 psi (0.2 to 1.0 MPa). A rounded vane design provides lower vane-seal bypass than typical rotary actuators. Standard internal bumpers provide quiet operation for high-speed applications. The stock rear output shaft is designed for easy accessibility and manual override in the event of an air pressure loss. The PRNA offers standard rotations of 90 deg., 180 deg. or 270 deg. Its operating temperature range is –5°C to 80°C (–23°F to 176°F), and its filtration requirement is 40-mm filtered, dry air.

Pneumatic Actuators Feature Aluminum Construction
With an extended aluminum body and a twin rack-and-pinion design, these actuators deliver constant torque output over 500,000 or more cycles. They have inboard and outboard travel stops for easy stroke adjustment to virtually any host valve’s open or closed positions. The body is hard-coat anodized to resist wear and corrosion. Bore finishing minimizes friction and wear. Nickel-plated steel pinions resist internal and external corrosion. Stainless steel assembling screws and die-cast aluminum end caps and pistons also contribute to the actuators’ long life.

Vibration Analyzer Cuts Data Collection Time in Half
A portable, route-based vibration-data collection device, the CSI 2130 Machine Health Collector features high-speed, single-channel collection, a full-color backlit VGA display, and a lightweight but rugged design. PeakVue processing utilizes digital technology to detect stress waves on the spot as an early sign of bearing or gear wear, and indicates the severity of a fault, enabling technicians to call for immediate maintenance if needed. Information recorded from each machine in the field can be uploaded to the AMS Suite: Machinery Health Manager, which trained analysts can use to spot any changes in the vibration pattern of a motor-pump combination, induction fan, or other rotating equipment as a sign of deterioration and an indication that corrective action should be taken.

Auger Feeder is Deisgned for Pharmaceutical Applications
The PureFeed AP auger feeder features a flexible hopper and programmable external dual-arm agitation system to maximize material handling versatility. The feed hopper is made of FDA-accepted EPDM, and is disposable and recyclable — which makes for simpler and shorter cleaning cycles and virtually eliminates the chance of cross-contamination when changing from one material to another. Type 316L stainless steel is used for most other parts and for 4-L and 36-L extension hoppers and covers. Contact surfaces have standard 16-min. RA finishes, with lower RAs available. The number of feeder pieces has been kept to a minimum and connections are made using sanitary quick-release clamps. The PureFeed is available in volumetric and gravimetric configurations for feed rates from 500 g/h to about 150 kg/h.
