Use These Pulse-Timing Modules for Process Control Applications
The PTM-300 Series Pulse Timing Modules solve timing issues by providing precise timing control of proximity and photo-sensor output pulses in process control, conveyor and machine applications. The PTM-300 input circuitry automatically detects and determines signal polarity from any standard “open-collector” type sensor output, such as NPN (sinking) and PNP (sourcing). The timing module then produces a timed output with the same polarity. PTM-300U models include an LCD display and user controls for selecting the desired timing function (fixed pulse length, pulse extended, motion detection, etc.). Pulse timing is from 10 msec to 60 sec with timing resolutions of 1mS (from 10mS to 999mS) and tenth seconds (from 1-60 Seconds). Standard models operate from 10 to 30Vdc and provide real-time bi-color LED indication of the input and output signals’ polarities.

This Centrifuge Combines Gentle Cell Harvesting with High G-Force Liquid-Solid Separations
The CARR VP Pilot combines two powerful Pilot centrifuges — the ViaFuge Pilot and the Powerfuge Pilot — to create a unique dual-operation system that is said to be the first of its kind in the industry. The system combines fast, gentle, small- to medium-scale cell harvesting and supernatant recovery for shear cells, such as mammalian and insect cells, with high G-force for liquid and solid separations of bacteria, yeast, proteins or submicron particles. The Sharpe PB-Series Pharmaceutical Mixers feature an IEC frame motor that weighs only 7 lbs. and all-steel drive systems with a Type 316L stainless steel dry-running mechanical seal, pedestal, and wetted parts. Industrial Air Filter for Agglomerative Dust Applications
An extension of this manufacturer’s nanofiber media technology, Ultra-Web SB is a new, tougher filter media for dust collection in chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, textile and other manufacturing processes that face challenges from agglomerative dust. The filter media combines the excellent surface-loading and dust release capabilities of Ultra-Web nanofibers with a strong spunbond polyester substrate, to create filter cartridges with durability, moisture and chemical tolerance, long life, high efficiency, and significantly lower pressure drop for energy-efficient operation when compared to spunbond or meltblown media. Ultra-Web SB cartridges also feature wide pleat spacing, which allows thorough pulse cleaning of fine and fibrous particulate. The spunbond substrate is made without resins; consequently, Ultra-Web SB cartridges can potentially be used where challenging conditions (e.g., higher temperature, chemicals and moisture) could weaken or destroy the resin system within standard substrate media. Spherical Roller Thrust Bearings Accommodate Combined Load at High Speeds
The SKF spherical roller thrust bearings are engineered to accommodate heavy axial and simultaneous radial loads in high-speed industrial equipment applications. Their self-aligning capability further allows these bearings to compensate for shaft deflection and misalignment without reducing bearing service life. Applications include large vertical electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, fans, crushers, machine tools, injection molding equipment, and other machinery performing at relatively high speeds and with combined loads. These bearings incorporate asymmetrical rollers and specially designed raceways offering optimum conformity. Cages are made from steel or optional machined brass (for larger bearing sizes). Bore sizes range in diameter from 60 mm to 1,250 mm (2.3622 in to 49.2126 in.) and boundary dimensions conform to ISO 104-2002 standards.
