Eliminate Blockages and Damage to Pumps with This Heavy-Duty Pipeline Delumper

The 24-in. Pipeline Delumper is a powerful inline processor that crushes, disperses and suspends tough solids in fully enclosed pipe systems. The unit is specifically designed to handle oversized agglomerates including granular polypropylene and polyethylene. This unit eliminates blockages, works the stream to free flow and prevents damage to pumps and other equipment. It is suitable for wet, dry, pressure or gravity systems. The ultra-compact, straight through Pipeline Delumper is designed for easy installation. This fluid-tight pressure-rated unit has the full throughput capacity of the pipe to which it is connected. Its working principle employs rugged impeller teeth passing through a heavy bar grating to reduce the size of the product. These teeth completely clear the slots of the bar grating and at the same time clean the entire pipe cross-sectional area. A choice of packing seals or mechanical seals is provided in a convenient cartridge housing. The machine is fabricated in carbon and stainless steel in  3-in. to 24-in. pipe sizes.

Vacuum Conveyors are Designed for Food Manufacturing Applications

The C-Series line of vacuum conveyors are ideal for handling ingredients such as cocoa, sugar, powdered drink mixes, vitamins and coffee beans. Powered by the manufacturer’s pneumatically driven vacuum pumps, these systems safely and quietly transport up to 10–15 tons/h of powders and granules in virtually any manufacturing or processing environment. The vacuum conveyors are made from stainless steel AISI 316L and can cope with demanding circumstances. The filter design can trap particles down to 0.3 mm and can be equipped with a high-efficiency-particle-arrestment (HEPA) filter. The design of the new conveyor improves the vacuum-assisted flow by 25% without affecting energy consumption. To meet the strict regulations of the pharmaceutical, food and dairy industries, the firm’s C-21 and C-33 conveyors have been examined and accepted by the USDA and comply with the 3A standard. The vacuum conveyors are available in diameters of 21, 33 and 56 cm.

Vibratory Disk Mill Can Achieve Analytical Fineness in Seconds

Well-suited for preparing samples for XRF or similar analyses, the Vibratory Disk Mill RS 200 features a powerful 1.5-kW stabilized plane drive that achieves grind sizes between 40 and 100 mm within seconds. The standard deviation of d90 values is only half compared to other disk mills. Samples of up to 250 ml with a maximum particle feed size of <15 mm are ground in dust-tight and user-friendly grinding sets of chrome steel, tungsten carbide, zirconium oxide or agate, contamination-free and neutral-to-analysis. Further features include all-digital controls with memory for up to 10 grinding programs, one-button operation, automatic recognition and speed adjustment from 1,400 to 700 rev/min with agate grinding sets. The disk mill is ideally complemented by the automatic hydraulic pellet press PP 40.

Try this Hydraulic Bulk Bag Conditioner when Pneumatic Flow Promotion Accessories are Ineffective

The Hydraulic Bulk Bag Conditioner loosens bulk solid material that has solidified during storage and shipment, enabling bulk bag unloaders to discharge it through bag spouts. The conditioner features two hydraulic rams with specially-contoured end plates to press opposing sides of the bulk bags. An optional hydraulically-actuated, variable-height turntable allows in-frame bag rotation and conditioning of bulk bags at varying heights. The number and pressure of hydraulic ram actuations, the height of the turntable, and the number of 90-deg rotations are user adjustable. The conditioner is fully enclosed on all four sides for operator safety and includes full-height doors that are interlocked to disallow operation of the system when the doors are open. The unit is intended for bulk bags containing hygroscopic chemicals, certain types of spice blends, heat-sensitive products, and other materials prone to solidifying to the point at which pneumatically actuated flow promotion accessories integral to bulk bag dischargers are inefficient or ineffective.

Transfer System Safely Feeds Vessels without Contamination Concerns

Powdered products that are either hazardous or subject to contamination when exposed to the workplace environment can be transferred safely by a self-contained Powder Transfer System (PTS). Designed for such products as pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals and metal powders, the totally sealed pneumatic system requires no external filters or vents, allowing dust-free charging of powder directly into closed vessels, including those under vacuum or pressure. The system transfers materials at velocities up to 5 m/sec, and can reportedly move non-free-flowing powders, including some wet cake, and handle flammable and explosive products safely. The system employs a sealed transfer vessel that is connected to the feed container and mounted on the vessel to be charged. Product is moved into the transfer vessel and then charged into the receiving vessel with no escape of dust or air into the environment. The PTS is equipped with four valves, one each for product inlet, product outlet, vacuum source and pressure source. The inlet valve is connected via sealed tube to the product source, and the outlet valve is similarly connected to the receiving vessel. Inside the PTS cover is a membrane that can filter particles down to 1 µm.

This Screener Is Easy to Install and Maintain

Specifically designed to screen fine products at high capacity, the MS Screener provides excellent screening performance due to equal feed distribution to all screen decks, uniform bed-depth across the entire screen surface and a reduction in screen blinding due to the use of durable declogging balls. The stacked, multiple-deck, tray access design allows for individual screen access without the need to remove all decks. A patented Lift-Rail system enables easy installation and removal of the screen frame. An easily accessible external drive cartridge allows continuous operation at temperatures up to 200°C and is designed for 200,000 hours of service.

This Hammer Mill Reduces Friable, Fibrous Materials into Uniform Particles

The Hammer Mill Model 141 reduces friable and fibrous materials into uniform particle sizes ranging from 20 to 300 mesh. Centrifugal force causes pivoting hammers to stand at 90-deg to the rotating shaft, throwing material against breaker plate ridges in the feed section, and then against perforated bed screens through which sized material exits. The shaft, integral hammer discs, disc pins and hammers are driven by a 75-hp motor at 1,800–4,000 rev/min, achieving hammer tip speeds of 8,700–19,500 ft/min even under heavy loads, reducing a broad variety of solid material into particles at high rates. The mill can pulverize wood scraps, process grain, break-down impact resistant housings, destroy ammunition shells, pulverize newspaper, separate rubber from cord fiber, and reduce the size of a variety of other chemical, plastic, rubber and agricultural products. Particle size is determined by the size of the screen perforations. In addition to a lower 180-deg cylinder screen, the unit features an extra 90-deg screen located in the hinged section of top case, increasing screen area by 50% to a total of 270-deg, utilizing the entire area of the case.

Ultra-Sanitary Double-Deck Screener Reduces the Possibility of Contamination Due to Bacteria Growth

The Vibroscreen Ultra-Sanitary Double-Deck Screener for scalping, de-dusting and dewatering of contamination-sensitive materials meets cGMP, 3-A, USDA and FDA standards. The unit features gap-free screen frames, quick-release “U” clamps, radius corners, a domed lid, an Air-Lift device to raise the frames, continuous ground and polished welds, a gap-free and crevice-free interior and a washable underside. The external, interlocking flange configuration of the screen frame fully envelops the support ring of the screen, allowing the screen’s wire mesh to extend to the interior walls of the frame. The design eliminates the gap between the screen ring and frame wall of conventional screeners, eliminating areas where material would otherwise collect. The new screener dramatically reduces the possibility of contamination due to bacteria growth, while improving sanitizing efficiency, making it suitable for pharmaceutical, food and dairy applications, as well as chemical applications where cross-contamination is a concern, according to the company.
