Aeromechanical Conveyors Deliver High Output
The Powderflight aeromechanical conveyor can handle anything from chalk to lead shot. However, it is most efficient when handling fine powder or granules. The conveyors can handle a wide variety of materials, with minimal product degradation and no separation of blended solids. Typical applications include filling silos or tankers, batching various products into a mixer, feeding reactor vessels, or transferring solids from mixers or reactor vessels to bulk bags. The compact conveyor has the ability to operate efficiently at all angles — with 90-deg vertical being the most efficient configuration. Powderflight conveyors are manufactured in three models, varying by capacity: the M75 handles 6 ft3/min; the M100, 13 ft3/min; and the M125, 25 ft3/min.

Expanded Sizes Now Available for These Sanitary Pressure Regulators
The Fisher Type SR5 sanitary pressure regulators and Type SR8 sanitary back-pressure regulators have expanded to include 2–in. and 3-in. models. In addition to the size expansion, a new PEEK soft seat material has been added. The new material provides ANSI Class VI shutoff in higher-temperature applications (up to 400ºF) and is FDA approved. USP Class VI grades are also available. Furthermore, a 75–125-psig spring size has been added to the SR8 line for 1/2-in. to 1-1/2-in. regulators, raising the maximum setpoint for these products from 100 to 125 psig. The Type SR5 and Type SR8 are designed for optimal performance in water-for-injection (WFI) and continuous clean-steam applications, which include clean-in-place (CIP) and sanitize-in-place (SIP) systems.

Plug-and-Play Pumps Offer Leak-free Performance
The Dynapump LE Series of sealless, canned motor pumps combines state-of-the-art design with global manufacturing efficiencies to provide reliability, secondary containment, and bearing-wear monitoring in an ANSI B73.3- compliant, plug-and-play sealless pump. These standard features make maintenance less frequent and more predictive. The pump’s sealless centrifugal motor enables plants to exceed industry standards for environmental, personnel and facility safety. Also, because the pump has a smaller footprint and requires less maintenance than comparable products, its initial and long-term costs are lower. The Dynapump LE Series features corrosion-resistant Type 316 stainless steel construction, with plans for Alloy 20 fabricated models in the works.

Versatile Pipe Gaskets Handle Aggressive Chemicals
The GORE Universal Pipe Gaskets enable maintenance engineers to standardize their gasket applications across steel, glass-lined steel and FRP systems wherever a non-metallic gasket can be used. Unaffected by even the most aggressive chemicals, these gaskets provide exceptional performance in three important areas: seal reliability; conforming to irregular surfaces; and protecting flanges. They are engineered to deliver superior bolt-load retention, and achieve superior creep resistance for reliable sealing of steel piping flanges. Moreover, these gaskets deliver the low stress-to-seal in even the most fragile plastic and glass-lined flanges. They are suitable for use at temperatures up to 600°F and pressures up to 3,000 psi.

New Sealing Technology is Designed to Replace Mechanical Seals
The patent-pending HYDRA-JUST Sealing System replaces mechanical seals in virtually any industrial pumping application; it’s especially suited to hostile, abrasive environments and eliminates the risk of catastrophic failure. The HYDRA-JUST is more robust than mechanical seals, and it handles system upsets with ease. It also gives users an indication when it starts to fail, so they can keep the system going until it’s convenient for them to change the seal. This means they can maximize their uptime, and schedule maintenance around their production needs, rather than re-scheduling production around sealing failures. Other benefits include: significantly reduced water consumption with cool, dry operation and no dilution; easy installation and operation (no special equipment required to use or install); and no start-up adjustments.

Steel-Disk Seals Protect Bearings from Contaminants
NILOS-Ring “Type LSTO” steel-disk seals provide protection for grease-lubricated bearings exposed to extreme levels of contamination. They satisfy key performance requirements by minimizing bearing friction losses and heat build-up, and by preventing lubricant leakage and penetration of dirt. The non-contact, grease-filled labyrinth sealing elements consist of laminated steel-seal disks and steel cores. The seals resist axial pressure and will not slip when clamped in the axial direction of both the inner and outer periphery of a roller-bearing ring. Type LSTO steel-disk seals are available for use with a wide range of shaft and casing diameters and are ready-to-install for quick and easy mounting. They can be further customized to meet application-specific requirements.

Sealing Element is Highly Durable
The green-colored pre-applied NYSEAL sealing element eliminates the time-consuming in-house application of O-rings, gasket seals and sealant compounds by creating a gasket-like seal withstanding pressures up to 500 psi. The coating, which is permanently fused on the bearing surface of the fasteners, eliminates the leak path and will not work loose. As the screw is seated to its final position against the mating part, the NYSEAL element compresses slightly and fills the void under the bearing surface of the head and countersink or bore. It prevents galvanic corrosion between dissimilar materials, is highly durable and will not shrink or dry out from age. NYSEAL works in temperatures up to 150ºF and is resistant to chemicals like alcohol, gasoline, oil, kerosene, diesel fuel and hydraulic fluids. It requires no additional curing or heating after installation.

Vapor Hood Prevents Harmful Materials from Escaping During Oil-Skimming Process
The Model 6V vapor hood is a reliable option when oil must be removed from areas where volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are present. Used in such places as tanks and sumps, the Model 6V is fully enclosed with a gasket to prevent the VOCs from escaping into the atmosphere, and is used in conjunction with the Model 6V oil skimmer. The vapor hood is designed so that the electric motor is protected from the skimming area and the VOCs. A built-in decanter in the vapor hood also provides water-free oil skimming. Although enclosed, the vapor hood’s construction allows users to easily access the skimmer for inspection and maintenance. Vapor hoods can be manufactured to specified user height requirements and can be constructed of materials suitable for use in all types of applications.
