CAESAR II Version 5.00 Pipe-Stress Analysis Software
CAESAR II Version 5.00 pipe-stress analysis software features a revised piping input processor that integrates graphics, spreadsheets and lists in a combined view, making the analysis process friendlier and faster. Sections of the model can be graphically edited, speeding the modeling time, while the integration of the input processor with the error checker function makes error identification and correction operate in an intuitive, iterative way. To simplify model creation and review, relevant sections of the spreadsheet can be “torn off” and arranged on the graphics pane, allowing the user to effectively customize the input spreadsheet layout. An enhanced static output processor in the new edition lets the user easily build custom, reusable report templates, using all CAESAR II output data in any combination or order. New in dynamic analysis is a consistent mass distribution technique that allows improved accuracy without the need to re-mesh the model.

gPROMS Advanced Model Library for Gas-Liquid Contactors
gPROMS Advanced Model Library for Gas-Liquid Contactors (AML:GLC) is an “open-model” library of high-fidelity, non-equilibrium component models for gas-liquid separation. It is designed to cover a wide range of separation operations, including conventional packed columns for distillation, absorption and evaporation, and more complex units such as heat-integrated devices, partition columns, partial condensers, compact heat and mass exchangers (dephlegmators), and falling-film columns. The approach used in the AML:GLC results in accurate information for decision support in optimization of process, equipment and control design and operations. Accuracy is achieved by using a rate-based approach that employs dual-flow hydrodynamics for estimation of heat and mass transfer, making the assumption of equilibrium only at the infinitesimally thin interface between gas and liquid films. Non-condensibles are handled rigorously in both phases.

FastMaint CMMS 4.5 Maintenance Software
Version 4.5 of the FastMaint computerized maintenance management solution (CMMS) is one of the few maintenance software packages to pass Microsoft’s certification tests. Easy to install and use, FastMaint can schedule, manage and track both planned and preventive maintenance tasks. An integrated inventory system allows one to track inventory use and when to reorder parts. Maintenance managers can plan ahead and budget work for the week, month, quarter, year or any defined period. One can easily create work orders and collect feedback on jobs done. The multi-user Professional edition provides a way for non-maintenance personnel to submit maintenance requests. Users’ rights to view or change information can be restricted to protect maintenance data. Many third-party tools, such as report writers, data extraction utilities, etc., can also be integrated with the FastMaint database.

ProSimPlus for Steady-State Simulation and Optimization
ProSimPlus is used in design and in operations for process optimization, unit troubleshooting or debottlenecking, plant revamping, or front-end engineering analysis. Over 70 unit operations are available in the ProSimPlus library, including chemical reactors, three-phases and reactive distillation columns, and multi-fluid heat exchangers. ProSimPlus can model complex systems, such as processes with highly non-ideal mixtures, numerous recycling loops, very large flowsheets and more. Unique convergence methods and specific algorithms based on the simultaneous modular approach ensure reliable results without time-consuming convergence tests. Many features enable the user to customize the capabilities of the software. For instance, users can add specific algorithms, customized unit operations and private thermodynamic models. ProSimPlus is intuitive thanks to a Windows-based interface and many functionalities that ensure fast and efficient analysis of results.
