Air Piston Vibrator Coming in Stainless Steel
The VM-25, said to be the world’s smallest air-piston vibrator, will soon be available in all stainless steel. It can be used to promote the free flow of materials from small, thin-skinned (minimum 28 gauge) bins and hoppers to 2 ft3 (57 L) capacity. The device is ideal for pharmaceutical or food-grade applications, or in corrosive environments. It can be supplied with a muffler to prevent contamination and reduce noise levels. An air-cushioned version, VMAC-25, further decreases noise levels with a 30% reduced force output. This energetic little unit produces 16,000 vibrations/min, while only consuming 2.0 ft3/min (57 L/min) of compressed air at 80 psig (5.4 bar). Normal force output is 15 lbs.

Bulk Solids Pumps Utilize Patented Positive-Displacement Feeding Principle
The BSP-135 and BSP-150P are the latest addition to the Bulk Solids Pump feeder line. These units are specifically engineered to provide gentle, precise feeding of free-flowing pellets, granules, flakes, powders and friable products utilizing a patented principle called positive-displacement feeding. The BSP-135 features three feeding ducts and will replace the BSP-125, which had two ducts, extending the feed rate range to 155 ft3/h. The BSP-150P features a plastic feeder body constructed of carbon-reinforced PBT, giving it excellent strength and durability and allowing it to be economically priced. It features five feeding ducts and can feed from 1.8 to 318 ft3/h.

These Compact Vacuum Conveyors are Energy Efficient
The IC33 series of vacuum conveyors is based on a newly patented pump technology that uses less energy compared to competing compressed-air-driven conveyors. The compact design of the conveyor makes it possible for the user to secure floor space that otherwise would have been occupied if using more space-demanding belt or screw conveyors. As the material is conveyed in pipes or hoses, this solution is also more flexible, according to the manufacturer. With this new product series the company can offer competitive conveying of virtually all types of materials in the shape of flakes, pellets and powder. There are three versions of the conveyor that handles anything from 500 kg/h to 2,000 kg/h, depending on conveying distance and the characteristics of the material handled.

Flexible Robotic Palletizer Uses Less Energy and Reduces Stress
The EC-201 robotic palletizer has a payload capacity of 440 lb and a palletizing capacity of 1,600 cycles/h. The unit palletizes bags, cases, pails and other various products. It also has four axes for maximum flexibility. The weight of the mechanically balanced arm can be supported by a single finger. This unique design allows the EC-201 to use less energy and reduce stress on the arm joints, bearings, pivot points and floor supports. A standard touch-screen allows personnel to change palletizing programs in under 5 sec, utilize onboard warning systems, review error occurrences and take corrective measures, monitor I/O in real time, track inventory by specific programs, compare running and powered up hours and monitor the machine in real time.

Low-Profile Load Cell Provides Unique Advantage for Static and Dynamic Weighing Applications
The 7200 series Mini Bear Pad load cell is a low-profile, mounted solution for vessels or conveyors, process control, batching and all industrial weighing applications, including clean applications such as food and pharmaceuticals. The load cell comes with a base plate (standard) and attaches directly to the vessel or conveyor via either a single 1/2-in. or 5/8-in. screw mounting kit with grommets and locking washers or an optional top mounting plate. With this new technology, common placement problems associated with top pins, links, fix or floating mounts are eliminated. In addition, the standard base-mounting plate has elongated bolt holes for ease of orientation. For restricted space concerns, this low-profile load cell may be affixed with load-plate spherical washers. To overcome engineering challenges, the Mini Bear Pads have been mounted in multiple ways including upside down and even sideways. Available in 1,000–10,000 lb. capacities, the load cell stands at only 1.75 in. and is the same physical size for all capacities.

This System Continuously Monitors Bearing Temperatures and Belt Misalignments
The HotBus digital serial communication system offers customers a cost-effective approach to continuous bearing-temperature monitoring. With up to 256 bearing sensors on a single twisted pair cable, installation is easier and maintenance free. The system allows complete control with user-adjustable relative ambient and absolute trip points for each sensor. HotBus Control units can be standalone or connected to relay control units to provide automatic machine shutdown. Ethernet, Modbus, and Device Net Gateways are also available for connection to existing networks. Designed for caged, plastic or metal tote tanks/IBCs, this heater controls temperature up to 160ºF (71ºC) with adjustable thermostats. The wrap-around blanket design allows for non-invasive heating. Outside Face Seal is Ideal for Use in Top-Entry Agitators
The outside face seal (OFS) is ideal for the containment of vapors in vertical-shaft vessels and can operate without a purge or flush system. It is particularly suited for top-entry agitators, where long, cantilevered shafts can exhibit high runout and angular misalignment. The OFS will permit significant axial motion, making it ideal for applications where there is shaft float and thermal expansion. The seal is available unsplit or fully split, and in a wide variety of materials combinations for maximum compatibility with acids, bases and aromatic hydrocarbons. The OFS can be built with no elastomers, permitting its use with a wide variety of aggressive chemistries. OFS seals excel in vacuum environments, often cutting process times in half, due to increased vacuum containment. Self-Testing Hazardous Area Static Grounding Clamp Serves Portable Plant Items
A grounding clamp specifically designed for hazardous area applications protects against static electricity build-up in mobile or portable equipment. The Bond-Rite clamp creates and continuously monitors a low-resistance connection to ground, providing visual verification through a flashing LED indicator. Though mobile and portable items, such as drums and other containers, are difficult to bond effectively, the Bond-Rite clamp is at home in even the most demanding applications.
