Economical 4–20-mA Calibrator Is Portable
The low-cost, portable calibrator model 420 was designed for calibration/test of DPMs, PLCs, transmitters, sensors or any other device requiring a 4–20-mA current loop signal. The 4-in.×2.5-in.×4-in. housing comes with a belt clip for ease of operation. Powered by a 9V transistortype battery, this unit operates down to 6V and can drive up to 300 ohm loads or sustain up to 7V burden of the load. The calibrator features a dual full-scale range of 19.99- and 25.0-mA. The calibrator features a 3-1/2 digit built-in display that will only turn on if the “loop” is closed (connected).

Powder Rheometer Makes Assessment with Minimal Amounts of Sample
The FT4, a universal powder rheometer that is used to perform powder flowability tests, now comes with a fully automated, small-volume shear cell that can be used to measure volumes down to 3 mL or less, depending on the characteristics of the powder. This new accessory enables users to extend the range of shear-testing applications on the FT4 to include those for which only very small amounts of sample are available. This encompasses many pharmaceutical actives, and materials, such as early stage formulations, where a wide range of tests must be carried out on limited supplies.

Hybrid Ultrasonic Flowmeter with 0.5% Accuracy
The Duosonics is a non-invasive, clamp-on, ultrasonic flowmeter that automatically switches between Pulse Doppler and Transit Time technologies depending on the fluid conditions in the pipe. The unit can measure a variety of fluids from ultrapure water to sludges and slurries. It can even measure entirely different fluids flowing through the same pipe. The Duosonics is particularly well-suited for situations with short pipe runs and undeveloped flow. The Pulse Doppler signal measures the flow when there are suspended solids or when the fluid is “dirty.” The Transit Time signal measures the flow when the fluid is “clean.” The Duosonics excels in applications as varied as food and beverage processing (yogurt, dressing, juice with pulp, sugar liquid, milk), crude oil, wastewater/sewage monitoring, paint and more. Balancing Instrument and Vibrator Analyzer Is Easy to Use
Designed with an intuitive user interface, the LORD Balance Check can be used to detect unbalance, identify the correction capacity required to offset unbalance, and verify balance once it is restored. The unit uses a 400-MHz XScale processor, large color display, easy operation function keys and has high-speed data acquisition capabilities through USB, IrDA and RS232. Designed with durability in mind, the rugged instrument has IP65 (dust and water) sealing and a two-meter (Mil-Std 810 spec) multiple drop test rating to ensure it withstands the daily abuse associated with an industrial environment. Flowmeters Are Designed for LNG and Natural Gas Service
The Bundle Waveguide Technology (BWT) system with the DigitalFlow DF868 flowmeter measures LNG flowrates in pipes ranging from 2 in. to 48 in., and is touted as the only solution for measuring LNG flows in pipes greater than 8 in. The system measures cryogenic flows of LNG at –161°C (–322°F) as it is transferred from liquefaction trains and tankers into storage tanks at production plants and receiving terminals. The Sentinel is a naturalgas ultrasonic flowmeter specifically designed to meet the demands of high accuracy, fiscal custody-transfer measurement. It is used for metering natural gas fed to production liquefaction trains and re-gasified LNG at receiving terminals, or for any natural gas measurement where high accuracy is needed. It is a multipath ultrasonic flowmeter available in pipe sizes ranging from 6 in. to 48 in., and meets AGA 9 criteria. It is delivered as a complete system with matched upstream pipe run and flow conditioner.

This Flexible Multiposition Valve Can Handle Simple and Complex Applications
The MW Type multiposition valves offer numerous flow configurations, port and fitting sizes, and actuation options. The preload design allows the rotor to be inspected or replaced without removing the valve from the actuator. If the valve is used with the firm’s complementary VICI microelectric actuator, alignment is always automatic. The valves are available with 4 –16 positions in five configurations ranging from simple stream selection to more complicated trapping functions. Standard valve-body material is stainless steel; optional materials include Hastelloy C-22 or Nitronic 50.

Magnetic-Drive Pump Can Run Dry. Capable of handling temperatures to 302°F, the MDM magnetic-drive line of chemical process pumps provides patented, repeatable dry-run technology up to 25 hp. The pumps feature a compact close-coupled design with modular construction and individually replaceable parts, allowing simple maintenance and lower cost of ownership. The convenient mounting configuration and dual back pull-out design provides users the ability to maintain line pressure while removing the motor, or if necessary, access to the pump internals from the foot-mounted front casing design to avoid disturbing the piping. The MDM design features standard construction materials of ETFE, for cost-effective handling of most aggressive chemistries, and PFA, for added temperature capabilities and high-purity applications. Portable Gas Monitors Go Wherever Hazards Are
The Detective is a free-standing, transportable gas detector and alarm unit that provides protection wherever there are shortterm hazards, such as during annual maintenance turnarounds. The unit can be used individually or in groups to monitor up to four gases at once. If a dangerous gas level is detected, the unit warns with a wailing 101-dB siren and flashing, high-intensity LED beacons visible from any direction. The Detective’s distinctive design incorporates a sturdy tripod that keeps the gas sensors raised above obstructions and away from surface water. An integral safety cage gives extra protection in the event of the unit being overturned. Sensors are available for oxygen, flammable gas and all toxic gases commonly encountered in industry. The Detective is intrinsically safe and protected against water and dust ingress. Power is provided by a sealed 6-V rechargeable battery giving up to 24 hours of continuous monitoring in quiescent mode.

Continuously Monitor Environmentally Significant Heavy Metals
The OVA 5000 analysis system now offers improved performance for monitoring arsenic 5 and 3, and chrome 6, as well as metals, such as Zn, Cd, Pb and Cu. It can be installed in current plant or control rooms, or at remote sites in a simple enclosure. The system provides online continuous batch monitoring. Throughput is up to 288 samples in 24 hours, with fully flexible programming, which allows samples to be taken at specified times or when triggered by an external event. Typical detection limits are better than 10 ppb for most metals. Accuracy and reproducibility compare well to AAS or ICP laboratory analyzers. The OVA 5000 is unaffected by Na, Ca, Cl or Mg in the sample — substances that are often present in industrial samples.
