Infrared Camera Helps Eliminate VOC Leaks
The GasFindIR camera incorporates an infrared imager that employs a sensitive detector and cold filter to observe active leaks. This method replaces toxic vapor analyzers, or “sniffers,” which are labor-intensive, must be used at very close range, and only give an indication that a volatile organic compound (VOC) leak exists — unlike the camera, which clearly shows the leak. The GasFindIR enables workers to scan large areas to detect leaks, significantly increasing productivity.

Monitoring Kit Measures TVOCs and Other Indoor Air Quality Parametes
The DirectSense TVOC comes with a 10.6-eV PID sensor for ppb- or ppmrange measurement of total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs). Relative humidity and temperature sensors are included. Users can add up to three electrochemical sensors for the following gases: O3, NH3, NO2, NO, SO2, H2S, HCN, EtO, O2, Cl2, HCl, H2, AsH3, CO, and others. Probes for CO2, particle counts, differential pressure and other parameters may also be simultaneously monitored. Desktop PC software is included. A waterproof pocket PC case, a hard-shell case for secure long-term logging, built-in camera, portable printer, wireless keyboard, and other accessories are optional.

Magnetically Coupled Ball Valve Eliminates Fugitive Emissions
Because this ball valve’s stem and seals are encapsulated in a welded, sealed canister, if the seals fail, the transmitted medium cannot escape to the atmosphere. The valve is actuated by a magnetic coupling through the sealed canister, and uses a non-contact electromagnetic sensor to provide positive indication of the ball position. Previous valve designs were unable to provide an indication that the internal ball rotated to the desired open or closed position when the valve was actuated. The valves are available in a variety of construction and seal materials, with welded or flanged end connections.

Solvent Reclaiming Systems Reduce Waste Management Costs
Manufacturers may be able to recover as much as 99.9% of their reusable solvent with the RESOLV-R 2 Model IST Series solvent reclaiming systems. The units are available in 2.6-, 4-, 6.6-, 11-, and 16-gal capacities for use either in normal locations or in Class I Div. I Group D explosionproof areas. They can be used with disposable nylon waste bags. A built-in forced-air fan handles condenser vapor cooling. Vacuum add-on units are available in either pneumatic or electronic versions to handle solvents with high boiling points.

Vacuum-Pump Oil-Mist Eliminators Reduce Hydrocarbon Emissions
MV Midi-Mist oil-mist eliminators remove harmful oil vapors from the vacuum-pump exhaust stream to reduce the overall waste load on facility scrubbers and virtually eliminate hydrocarbon emissions exhausted to the atmosphere. With 99.9999% efficiency, these vacuum-pump exhaust traps also prevent the oil from coating exhaust lines, which can create a fire hazard. Featuring replaceable microfiberglass coalescing filter elements with 0.1-µm pore size, they are offered in four models from 4 in.- to 10-in.-dia. to fit vacuum pumps from 5 to 300 ft3/min.
