Comsol Multiphysics Version 3.2
Version 3.2 of COMSOL Multiphysics is a scientific-modeling package whose new features boost productivity throughout the entire modeling and simulation process. The software now reads geometry files created with all major CAD packages (i.e., SolidWorks, Solid Edge, NX, CATIA). Importing an existing CAD or mesh file enables users to bypass the geometry-creation step, which makes the first step in the modeling process fast and convenient. The latest version also introduces COMSOL Script, a standalone product featuring a technical- computing language and command-line modeling. The graphical user interface encourages the use of a consistent system of engineering units. Furthermore, a moving-mesh feature allows a model to simulate moving parts and parametric geometries such as those in MEMS (microelectromechanical systems), piezoelectrics, and biology applications as well as free-surface flow and natural wave effects. Users define the desired type of motion such as for the deflection of a flexible barrier in a strong flow of liquid or gas, or even fluid sloshing in a tank. Coupled with the moving-mesh engine is geometric parameterization, where it is possible to describe a how a geometry changes without the need to set up a loop in a script file. Another key feature of the software is improved solvers handle models with millions of degrees of freedom and calculate the answers faster than ever before.

Tank Capacity Calculations Software Upgrade
Tank Capacity Calculations version 6.0 features a significantly enhanced user interface, allowing for ease of use and increased productivity. The menu page has been redesigned to speed access to the desired calculation form and the number of forms have been consolidated and redesigned for ease of use. The program uses both English and metric units for all calculations. Two other new features include: direct printing of strapping tables or simple use of drag and drop to Excel. Volumes are automatically calculated for an increment of liquid depth to full tank for cylindrical tanks with most types of heads. Similarly volumes are automatically calculated for full or any liquid depth. The many features include help, detailed descriptions and diagrams of various tank heads. Tank Capacity Calculations version 6.0 is designed for use in Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP and NT 3.51+.

UniSim Design Suite R350 for Plant Lifecycle Support
UniSim Design Suite R350 is based on the latest release of HYSYS software, marking Honeywell’s entry into the offline simulation market. It offers steady-state and dynamic simulation, design, performance monitoring, optimization and business planning for the oil and gas production, gas processing, petroleum refining and chemical industries. The new solution allows process manufacturers to design, test, and train employees on new processes offline before they are implemented. UniSim Design can also reduce engineering costs by eliminating the need for many error-prone manual processes, such as data-re-entry and data transfer, which account for up to 30% of engineering labor hours.

ROMeo Version 4.0 for Plant Modeling and Optimization
With version 4.0, the ROMeo software is now integrated within SimSci-Esscor’s SIM4ME common modeling environment. This environment provides a consistent user interface, common data model, consistent thermodynamics, and common software modules across different simulation applications to increase productivity while minimizing training requirements. Utilizing patented technology, version 4.0 of the ROMeo software enables users to employ a focused strategy of data re-use across the full range of simulation applications, from steady state process design to dynamic simulation and optimization. This includes the ability to open a PRO/II process model from within the ROMeo application, allowing users to take existing off-line models on-line for performance monitoring and optimization, while retaining equity in previously developed models. The version 4.0 release also features a true modular "subflowsheet" capability that allows users to manage multiple independent models as sub-flowsheets or import one flowsheet into another.
