Alloy Features Excellent Strength and Corrosion Resistance

The Super Duplex SAF 2507 alloy is designed specifically for demanding applications that require exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. Its resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, its high thermal conductivity, and its low coefficient of thermal expansion make it ideal for use in the chemical and petrochemical process industries, as well as in seawater applications. In addition, the high strength level of 2507 allows for a reduction in thickness which, in turn, reduces the overall cost to the customer.

Microfluidizers Generate Uniform, Submicron Particle and Droplet Sizes

Designed for cell disruption, formulation development and other fluid processing applications, the M-110Y Microfluidizer processor is a pneumatic bench top version, while the M-110EH is a plug-in electric-hydraulic floor model on wheels. The M-110Y maximizes the energy-perunit fluid volume insuring the generation of uniform, submicron particle and droplet sizes. Process pressures are highly variable and reproducible, ranging from a low of 1,500 psi to a high of 23,000 psi. Available options include a NIST traceable pressure transducer and thermocouple and accessories allowing pressurized sample feed. With process pressures ranging from 2,500 to 25,000 psi, the M- 110EH is equipped with a single acting intensifier pump that amplifies the hydraulic pressure at the simple turn of a knob. The unit drives the product through the interaction chamber at a constant pressure. Options include a small volume configuration capable of processing samples as small as 25 mL and an explosion- proof version for operation in hazardous environments.

Peristaltic Pumps Require Minimal Maintenance

The firm’s next generation of medium to large size peristaltic pumps, the 620 Series is ideal for a wide range of chemical and industrial applications, including: contamination- free transfer of acids, paints, oils, inks and dyes or slurries found in chemical, pulp and paper, printing and food processing applications. These pumps can reliably deliver 61% more flow — a single 620RE pumphead is capable of 5 gal/min and pressures up to 60 psi. They feature no valves or seals to clog, and require minimal maintenance, resulting in reduced downtime, providing a cost-effective alternative to traditional positive displacement pumps. The flagship pump in this series, the 620Du features manual control via a unique 16-key alpha-numeric keypad, as well as automatic control for remote operation and process integration. The pumps feature 99.5% repeatability, and can accommodate flow rates from 0.1 μL to 350 gal/min. They are extremely durable, withstanding pressures up to 232 psi.

Dimensionally Stable Tri-Clamp Gasket Eliminates Extrusion Risk Into Process Piping

The GYLON BIO-LOK Gaskets are dimensionally stable and pre-stressed, withstanding temperatures up to 260°C without deformation. Controlled compression during manufacture ensures that the gasket will not extrude into the pipe bore line. The need to re-tighten clamps, which is normally required as a result of creep relaxation of the gasket material, is reduced using GYLON BIO-LOK. The gaskets wide temperature compatibility and dimensional stability reduces the need for regular gasket changes when introducing different process chemicals. Holding a single gasket type in stock also eliminates the risk of introducing incompatible gasket materials to the process. Compliant with FDA and USP Class VI (toxicity) requirements, these gaskets are available to suit all sizes of tri-clamp fittings.

Maximize Oxygen Content with this Nano-Bubble Oxygenation System

This novel, proprietary electrolysis based oxygenation system utilizes nano-bubble technology to significantly increase oxygen levels in aqueous systems. The electrolysis device produces oxygen bubbles in the 5–15 μm range, small enough to prevent breaking the surface tension of the water and escaping to atmosphere. This ensures that all the oxygen produced is retained within the water and available to be dissolved, thus providing maximum oxygen capacity for microbiological and chemical processes.

Fluid Transfer Containers’ Patented Technology Eliminates Spills

The PCC Fluid Transfer Containers are used for transfers of crude oil, saltwater, petroleum products, chemicals, acids, foods, beverages and pharmaceutical fluids. They help eliminate spills by mounting directly onto the tank line or truck. Connections with hoses are now enclosed inside the container. When the transfer is complete, the firm’s patented sidewinder assembly valve is opened. Spills inside the container are drawn up and air is also drawn in to bleed the line. Upon disconnect there is little spilled inside the container (which is drawn up at the next transfer). PCC Fluid Transfer Containers have lids that can be locked for security. They prevent rainwater from entering or overflowing product onto the ground, while keeping out dirt, debris and wildlife. The most popular model is the PCC 301 with a 6.5-gal capacity. Each unit has a 1/4- in. carbon steel saddle welded to a schedule 40 collar or coupler. The collars come in 2-, 3- or 4-in. sizes. They are powder coated to prevent corrosion.
